We are celebrating the ringing of the bells at this service and inviting the community to join us while we continue to celebrate our 200th Anniversary (1813-2013). At this service we will be welcoming our new Minister Rev. Alan J. Morrison. Join us in welcoming our new Minister and hear the bells ring. December 1, 7 p.m. - Come and joins us for the return of Organist Jim Sykes for a Christmas Organ Recital. Refreshments served. December 7, 4 p.m. - The Sadecky Puppet Show will perform "A Snow Story," a show that not only entertains but also teaches the values of citizenship, responsibility, and caring. Enjoyed by all ages. Free. December 11, 7 p.m. - Community Christmas Carol Sing. The choirs of the FUMC and the First Christian Church are joining together with choir director Diane Cersosimo and organist Cindy Demarest featuring the group Shepherd's Voice. Come and sing along or just enjoy listening to the singing of
Christmas carols. Refreshments served. Sponsored by the 200th Anniversary Committee. December 13, 7 p.m. - Friday Night Praise December 14, 10 a.m. - Cookie Parade by the UMW. Don't bake, just come and get all the cookies you need from our large selection and be ready for the holidays. December 24, 7 p.m. - Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. You are always welcome to come and join us for this beautiful Candlelight Service. Don't forget to order you chocolate Christmas candy, homemade by the women and men of the church. Available are chocolate covered raisins, peanuts, walnuts, peanut butter, coconut, pretzel crunch, all packed in half-pound boxes, Nativity lollipops, chocolate pretzel rod trees and bagged chocolate cover pretzels. First Presbyterian Church’s Clothes Closet December Schedule The Clothes Closet sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Monongahela, 609 Chess St., will be closed on December 7, 2013. It will reopen on December 21 with a free breakfast.

The 23rd Annual Journey to Bethlehem, will be held at United Christian Church ( D.O.C.), 499 E. Malden Dr., Coal Center, December 14 and 15 from 7 – 9 p.m. This includes nine live scenes with actors, animals, and music. Drive through or walk through. This event is free, but donations are accepted.

Pricedale Union Church Schedules Living Christmas Tree Extravaganza Pricedale Union Church will present a living Christmas tree extravaganza titled “Noel” on December 13, 14 and 15 at 7 p.m. This is a wonderful musical program for the entire family with thousands of lights!
