South Park Women’s Club 24th Annual Craft Show

The South Park Women’s Club will hold their well-attended craft show on Saturday, October 7, 2017. The show will be held at the Home Economics Building both inside and outside. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The show will feature over 50 skilled crafters who offer a wide variety of homemade craft items and promises a nice selection for the shoppers. In addition to the crafts, there will be a bake sale, raffles and a Chinese Auction, as well as a variety of delicious refreshments to purchase for lunch or to take home. Admission is FREE. 'Pure Gold' To Perform At Saint Sebastian Church Octoberfest in Belle Vernon The St. Sebastian Church Octoberfest Committee is excited to announce tickets are now on sale for the annual Octoberfest Dinner Dance featuring the popular band 'Pure Gold'. The dinner dance will be held October 7, 2017 in the Versa Room at the Rostraver Ice Garden in Belle Vernon. With signature acappella vocals and four-part harmonies, Pure Gold delivers diverse sounds and musical styles with a stage presence that transcends audience ages and backgrounds. Pure Gold doo-wops their way through the decades, performing material from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, as well as a blend of blues, standards and original material to highlight their unique talents and range. Tickets to the Saint Sebastian Octoberfest Dinner Dance are $50 each and include a catered dinner. Tickets must be purchased in advance with seating selection on a first come first served basis. There will be no ticket sales at the door. Tables of 10 may be reserved if paid in advance with table location determined by date of purchase. Doors will open at 5:30 with dinner at 6pm. Pure Gold takes the stage at 730 pm. To purchase tickets, please call the St. Sebastian Parish Office at 724.929.9300. The deadline to purchase tickets is 5:00PM, Friday, September 29, 2017. Octoberfest will continue on the Saint Sebastian Parish Grounds on Sunday, October 8 from 12 noon until 7 pm. There will be ethnic and tailgate food for sale, games for adults and children, a basket auction and vendors. In addition to entertainment, the Steeler game will be shown on a big screen television. Save the Date! St. Thomas A’ Becket to Hold Annual Golf Outing on Oct. 9 St. Thomas A’ Becket Parish is sponsoring its 11th Annual Golf Outing at the South Hills Country Club on Columbus Day, Monday, October 9, 2017. This annual one-day event has raised over $310,000 for the parish. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the St. Thomas A’ Becket Recreation Center. This project entails the renovation of the old church to become a recreation facility for the youth of St. Thomas A’ Becket Parish. Registration fee is $200 for a single golfer, or $800 for a foursome. Sponsorships are also available. The golf outing registration fee includes range balls, golf, cart, lunch, cocktails, dinner, drink ticket and prizes. Live entertainment will be provided by Chris Higbee founder of PovertyNeck Hillbillies. Registration, sponsorships and credit card payments are accepted online at: http://birdeasepro.com/sttb10.
