Which campus? We have two campuses here at Herts, in this booklet violet references our College Lane campus and blue references our de Havilland campus. Campuses are a short distance from one another, why not take a look around both after your sessions? Self-guided tour: College Lane campus A

Main Reception houses a large social space and is home to Café Rore, serving hot and cold drinks, Grab and Go (sandwiches etc), cakes and pastries.

The Film, Music, and Media Building is home to our media courses, with a range of facilities including digital animation suites, our film and TV studio, music studios, sound booths and our impressive live sound and lighting stage.

The School of Creative Arts has purpose-built facilities for each subject area with state of the art workshops, industry-standard equipment and software, and on-hand support from expert technicians.

Hutton Hub brings together the essential services our students need while studying at Herts, including our largest Ask Herts Hub, Careers and Employment, Student Wellbeing, our on-campus Medical Centre and Hertfordshire Students' Union. The Forum Hertfordshire has been redeveloped for this academic year to introduce new bars and clubs, Seventy7 and the Loft, and an additional high-spec teaching space, the Forum Theatre. The Forum also offers a range of food and drink options including Starbucks, Subway, the Premier Shop and our food court, and our campus pub, the EleHouse, is just next door!

Our award-winning accommodation on College Lane offers a range of room types to suit all budgets. With common rooms, games courts, and an expansive lawn, it's the perfect setting to meet new friends or wind down.

Our Learning Resources Centres (LRCs) are central to life at Herts. College Lane LRC houses thousands of printed books, a wide selection of study areas, access to specialist computers, printing facilities, and Wi-Fi and power sockets to use with your own devices throughout. It's open 24/7 to suit your individual study needs.

The Science Building is home to the School of Life and Medical Sciences and contains state of the art facilities including labs, research technology, our mock pharmacy and simulation rooms.

The Health Research Building includes a special simulation centre for the School of Health and Social Work and the School of Life and Medical Science.

Self-guided tour: de Havilland campus A

The Grace Ononiwu Law Court Building was built as a place for law students to have lectures, a place for group study and has a full-scale replica Crown courtroom with public gallery so students can practice debating cases.

The Enterprise Hub is a new purpose-built building for Business students as a place for social and independent study. It houses lecture rooms, Café Ambition, private and group study rooms, and has an open plan study space.

The Accommodation on the de Havilland campus contains 1,600 single rooms with an average of 11 students a flat.

The Accommodation helpdesk is a place you can get help and advice with regards to your room, collect deliveries as well as a comfy common room to chill and Premier shop for essentials.

The Food Hall is a canteen for students to purchase meals and snacks throughout the day. There is also the option for takeaway food.

Hertfordshire Sports Village includes a 100-station gym, 25m 8-lane swimming pool, 12m climbing wall, 3 sports halls and several outdoor pitches. It also runs an awardwinning Hertsquad Active programme with 75 hours of activity each week, completely free.

Our brand-new Institute of Sport Building has state of the art sports science teaching space for our students in life and medical sciences.

Our Weston Auditorium has welcomed internationally acclaimed performers from across the UK, Ireland, Spain, Japan and Africa, as well as the best in top local talent. Moreover, it is used by UH Arts for musical and theatrical performances throughout the year.

There is a place like home: Living on campus You can visit our accommodation and experience what it is like to live on campus as a university student. We have accommodation available at both campuses, keep an eye out for accommodation show room locations on our maps. Living in halls is a great experience – you will make life-long friends and be right at the heart of everything you need. There is a wide choice of accommodation available including a variety of accessible rooms, and you’re guaranteed a room on campus in your first year. Our dedicated accommodation team can also be found in Hutton Hub if you wanted to talk through any room options or prices.

Living on campus helped me to make great friends and join in with many of the oncampus events. It was amazing to only be a short walk from lectures, nightlife, and the sports village. Holly, BA (Hons) Business and Event Management

Hertfordshire Sports Village Explore the incredible facilities available at Hertfordshire Sports Village. HertSquad Active Free sports and activity sessions running 7 days a week on both campuses! Look out for exciting events throughout the year and come and try something new. HertSquad Club Sport Want to play the sport you love on a weekly basis? We help you find your fit in whichever club level suits you. You’ll get weekly training sessions and the opportunity to compete in leagues and tournaments. You’ll also have the chance to represent Herts competing against other universities. Hertfordshire Sports Village A dedicated sports facility with a large resistance and free weights area, exercise studios and a 25m swimming pool. Badminton, squash and outdoor tennis courts are also available to use along with a climbing and bouldering wall. On College Lane campus you’ll find the Oval gym, open 24-hours a day.
