University of Hertfordshire
Information for International Students 2014/15 1
My experience of the UK has been really good. The university being located close to London makes it even more special. The most different thing about the UK compared to my home is the cultural diversity. I enjoy meeting people from all around the world and consider myself lucky to have them as my friends

Paying your fees Tuition fee deposits To confirm your place on your course and enable us to send you your Certificate of Acceptance to Study (CAS), you will need to pay a tuition fee deposit of £5,000. This deposit will be deducted from your overall tuition fee when you register at the University. We encourage you to pay your deposit as soon as possible, to allow us to issue your visa documentation and give you enough time to complete the visa application process. To find out more about applying for a UK visa please visit our website go.herts.ac.uk/international Payment of the deposit should be online using a credit or debit card, in the form of a bank transfer or banker’s draft in pounds sterling made payable to ‘The University of Hertfordshire’. The deposit will be refunded in the event that you do not obtain your student visa to enter the United Kingdom or you fail to satisfy the academic conditions set by the University.
Tuition fees You can pay your tuition fees by two instalments (NB if you choose to pay in instalments, you will not be eligible for the £500 discount for payment in full at registration). Fees can be paid (in pounds sterling) by online payment, bank transfer, banker’s draft, credit or debit card. It can take two to four weeks to open a bank account in the UK, so we recommend you bring a bankers’ draft to pay for tuition and accommodation fees making sure the draft is in the name of the University, not your own name. You should also make sure you bring a small amount of pounds sterling with you for your dayto-day expenses until you have registered at the University and opened a bank account.
The campus has fantastic facilities like the LRC and the social events at the Forum are great
