Environmental Management for Business MSc


MSc Environmental Management for Business is one of four pathways within the MSc Environmental Management programme. This MSc Environmental Management for Business pathway provides a thorough understanding of how sound environmental management practices can deliver both sustainability and a competitive business advantage and is ideal if you wish to work in business or the commercial sectors. You will develop expertise in environmental management tools, methods, systems and auditing, and appreciate the role of policy and legislation in achieving sustainability. About the course The MSc Environmental Management for Business pathway consists of nine core modules and a choice of one further module from a list of optional modules. Entry Requirements: A first or second class degree in any subject. Applicants with other qualifications and relevant experience will be considered individually by the Programme Tutor. Accredited Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) is available for those with AIEMA. Accredited Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) may be available for those with suitable relevant experience. The MSc Environmental Management programme gives you the opportunity to take a flexible approach to studying environmental management. Whether you are a graduate looking for a career in environmental management or a professional who already has experience in environmental management. The programme enables you to develop the knowledge and the skills required to implement environmentally sustainable solutions to businesses and organisations around the world. The programme offers four pathways: • Environmental Management • Environmental Management for Agriculture • Environmental Management for Business • Water and Environmental Management

Entry Requirements: A first or second class degree in any subject. Applicants with other qualifications and relevant experience will be considered individually by the Programme Tutor. Accredited Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) is available for those with AIEMA. Accredited Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) may be available for those with suitable relevant experience.

This approach provides you with the opportunity to develop an individually structured course, which best meets your interests in environmental management.

This MSc Water and Environmental Management pathway focuses on sound water management and the requirements of sustainable development whilst preparing you for all aspects of environmental management in the water industry. It has been designed to enable you to acquire expertise in the choice, design and implementation of a range of environmental management tools and methods, including: Integrated catchment management, and environmentally sensitive river management. MSc Environmental Management for Agriculture is one of four pathways within the MSc Environmental Management programme. MSc Environmental Management for Agriculture is an ideal course for those looking for a career in environmental management associated with the agriculture and land use industries. The course provides students with a holistic understanding and interdisciplinary training to identify on-farm environmental risks along with the knowledge and skills needed to find solutions. It examines agricultural activities and their potential to impact both positively and negatively on the environment, whilst explaining how environmental management systems, environmental auditing, life cycle assessment and environmental impact assessment can be used in the farm situation. About the course The MSc Environmental Management for Agriculture pathway consists of seven core modules and a choice of three others from a list of optional modules.
