You will have the opportunity to: • attend talks on your subject of interest • find out all you need to know about student support and student finance • tour our campuses, guided by one of our Student Ambassadors • talk to staff and current students • see our accommodation • talk to our staff about the support available to students

Welcome

On Arrival Registration Registration desks are located at the Main Reception on College Lane Campus and will open from 09.00 on Saturday 17 March. Registration desks can also be found in the Atrium of the de Havilland Campus. Refreshments Cafe Forum, Cafe Rore, Subway and the restaurant will be open from 08.30-15.00 serving beverages, snacks and meals. Tours

Tours College Lane Campus and accommodation A walk round the campus including a tour of the University accommodation and living areas, led by one of our current students. Tours depart from the Hutton Hub with the first tour starting at 09.30 and the last tour departing at 14.30. The full tour lasts approximately 45 minutes. Bayfordbury Observatory and Field Station If you are interested in Physics and Astronomy or Geography and Environment, you can visit our Bayfordbury Campus. A free coach will leave at 14.00 from outside The Forum Hertfordshire on the College Lane Campus and return to the College Lane Campus at 15.30-15.45. Healthcare Simulation Suites The University’s £30 million Health Sciences building offers a state-of-the-art environment for education and training in this fastchanging sector. It includes a special simulation centre which features: • Simulated counselling room • ITU/ ward simulation area* • Clinical skills lab* • Simulated community/ hospital pharmacy* • Simulated Optometrist examination cubicles* • Observation / seminar rooms* • Simulated house/living set up • State-of-the-art audio manikins* • State-of-the-art audio visual equipment* • Simulated GP surgery* Science Building* The University of Hertfordshire’s new £45m BREEAM Excellent Science Building includes state-of-the-art specialist teaching laboratories as well as research space, computer facilities, specialist simulation suites and informal social spaces.  *Shown during the afternoon facilities tours

The Forum The official on-campus nightclub at the University of Hertfordshire. The £38-million multi-functional venue, opened its doors in 2009 following a complete redevelopment. With a capacity of 2,250, it is a sophisticated venue with three state-of-the-art entertainment spaces, a restaurant, a cafe and multiple bars.

Student Wellbeing - Disability, Hutton Hub mezzanine, open from 09.00-15.00. Getting here By Rail There are fast and frequent trains to Hatfield from London Kings Cross, and shuttle buses will run from Hatfield Station to the College Lane and de Havilland campuses. By Bus Please visit the Uno website www.unobus.info for timetable information. By Road The campuses are close to junction 3 of the A1(M). The post code for College Lane is AL10 9AB and AL10 9EU for de Havilland. Please note that College Lane is a no through road. The campus entrance is signposted from J3 A1(M). . Parking All Hatfield Campus car parks are free for Open Day visitors. Free Shuttle Buses You can easily visit both campuses during the Open Day using the free shuttle bus. The bus leaves from the bus stop at College Lane Forum Hertfordshire and at the back of the de Havilland Campus behind the Sports Village. There is also a free shuttle bus service from and to Hatfield Station. All services start at 08.30 and the last buses will depart at 15.30.
