The studio focused on interpreting the model of co-working into various possible architectural iterations. Each student developed an architectural proposal in which the act of sharing space with others was intersected with the contemporary understanding of work and its role in our society today. Though the emphasis of the studio was placed on its interior qualities, considering all aspects of the building and its urban context were also carefully incorporated into the whole. The students explored the possibilities that co- working can open up when considered as a device to create, connect, form communities, collaborate, network, promote urban life and function as a trust-worthy support system for the users. The divide between life and work keeps getting blurred, how architecture responds and adapts to this condition and the ever developing needs of a society constantly on the go, virtually connected 24/7, is what has been explored and the results of this exploration have been compiled in this publication.
