Dan Casado France

Dan Casado, born 1956 in Argentina, home-studio at Natural Park of Millevaches in France. Reinventing human and animal forms, freely finding and showing the figures hidded inside the collaged journal paper pieces, I wonder about human relations, the possibility/impossibility of communication, affections and illusions. Art is the tool to re-construct the world. Art is my key. www.dancasado.com www.facebook.com/dancasado

I have sold works in the United Kingdom only and have appeared in a book by Matthew Meadows called ‘OUTSIDER ART’ (Chapter 6) and also an international art magazine ‘RAW VISION’ a while ago. Jason Hankins South Carolina, USA Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1979, Jason, a self taught artist, has been drawing as long as he can remember. In kindergarten, after the teacher had read "where the wild things are" to the class, the students were asked to draw their own wild thing. Jason remembers his creation receiving special attention. Growing up, Jason had a steady diet of classic sci fi and fantasy movies, as well as now classic video games, cartoons, comic books and anime that have influenced his style and subject matter. Along the way he also acquired an appreciation for cubism, tattoo art, and graffiti. These influences and others are then combined, filtered and digested with his life experiences and personal uniqueness to form his style. Jason 's works are created with a focus on spontaneity and the subconscious. He endeavors to keep the flow of images from the mind to pencil organic and unforced, interpreting and translating the lines and shapes that appear before him, allowing the work take on a life of its own. Jason currently lives in Mount Pleasant, SC with his wife Patty, where he writes in the third person as little as possible. www.facebook.com/theartofjasonhankins

Miranda Sky London, UK

Miranda Sky is a conceptual artist living and working in London. Her work revolves around the absurdity of the concept of femininity, using a minimalist approach in colour & style to convey the social construct of femininity being embedded from youth. The naive style used in the paintings, seek to question the apparently innocent yet sexualised marketing strategies that we take for granted, in an attempt to unmask the hidden, underlying consequences for women living in a day-to-day reality. ‘Perfection’ must be attained at whatever cost necessary in today’s society, as we have witnessed a rise in plastic surgery, eating disorders and the proliferation of beauty products, as if this is now the only means of ensuring happiness through cultivating an attractive shell. Instead of empowering women this ‘Photoshop’ propaganda deprives women of their true identity and potential. The use of enamels allows no margin for error as it emulates our striving for perfection. Bright, bold and fake… just like Barbie.

Louise Schmid Glasgow, Scotland

Born in Basel, Switzerland In the last decade my work has focused on symbiotic relationships of art and nature: SWIMMING AID, EURASIAN CAPSULE, FEEDING VOID, MIMOSIS, HORA BLU. Most recently, speculative experiments with algae, and life in a small community in Shetland have all combined to produce a new body of work titled "HORA BLU". It explores sustainable developments, where images create an imaginative meeting place for ecology and aesthetics. Current artwork is inextricably bound up with an astute critique of dominant hierarchical structures and concerns on our consumption of raw material and natural resource. www.brigittarosenberg.ch www.louiseschmid.net www.axisweb.org/p/louiseschmid

Charlie Grosso USA Heart of a 19th century adventurer, head of a 21st century entrepreneur, hands of an artist. Charlie Grosso’s life is as much as expression of her art as her photographs are. Charlie captures the world with irony and sensitivity, wonder and rich understanding. Through her work, we feel deeply and think differently about people and places both familiar and alien. A Chinese American woman with a male Italian name, Grosso is a photographer, documentarian and storyteller. Influenced by Sebastiao Salgado, Diane Arbus and the Bread and Puppet Theater, Grosso’s work starts from the personal and moves beyond searching out unifying factors between cultures and the endurance of common, beyond and irrespective of boundaries while examining their continual shifts in contemporary society. Her work has been widely exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, Havana and Paris. She has been nominated for several awards including Hasselblad Masters and IPA and won the Public Choice Awards for Documentary Photography for Prix de la Photographie, Paris (Px3) in 2008. Grosso frequently lectures, curates and writes for various intuitions and publications on art, travel and social change. “Wok the Dog,” her longest project to date is forthcoming as a book. www.charliegrosso.com www.baangandburne.com www.artsy.net/artist/charlie-grosso Prints are available in 3 sizes: 43.18cm x 43.18cm - £ 800 - edition of 10 76.20cm x 76.20cm - £ 1060 - edition of 6 127cm x 127cm - £ 3,125 - edition of 3

Chris Czainski Yorkshire, UK Chris Czainski is a full-time artist; she works in a variety of media - usually whatever suits the project of the moment and is to hand. Elemental substances such as bone, wax, feathers and hair combined with found objects, textiles, paint and other materials often find their way into her work. "The discarded fascinates me and I wish to reveal the beauty which is often to be found there. I don't particularly plan projects or artworks, something usually captures my imagination and I run with it, often taking it through various transformations until I am satisfied with the finished piece" "I am interested in life, death, regeneration and ritual - mortality to be more precise, and these themes tend to underlie my work." As well as working independently, Chris collaborates with her husband Paul, under the name 'The Fabulous Czainskis'. They work together on their own projects, commissioned projects and create performances, as well as travelling extensively, taking part in Artist's Residencies and working alongside other international artists. Their most recent residency was in Oley, Pennsylvania, USA, February 2013 and Thailand. October 2013 in a project organised by 'Surface Arts' et al.

Soodie Whitaker California, USA

When Soodie Whitaker was a baby boy when he was first born he has another name Soodie is just a nickname my brother gave me. He tried to say cute and sweetie and got my name. The name I was born by birth; the name is Glen Martin Schwarz and I was told I was named after a famous artist. No one knew who that famous artist was, and I grew up loving art at a very young age since I entered kindergarten and preschool. The school was called Redway Rascals. It’s near Garberville, CA. After 40 years since I enter Ferndale Elementary School where I’m currently living, mine local art teacher, mine inspiration, Jack Mays, taught me everything. Even you guys, the teachers at the art studio and the Ink People, the Trajectory class taught me how to become a famous artist I am today. My mom also taught me about art too. Sometimes I do art about my family, brothers and sisters. I like to inspire young kids about my art. Sometimes I do figure drawing. Sometimes I do clay sculpture. Some of my art is about the performances I’ve done. Some of my art is like a comic strip.

David Gerbstadt Pennsylvania, USA After twenty years of art making I still get a thrill out of making art! Making art takes me to another world! On December 28, 2007 just two days before flying home I died in route to the hospital in an ambulance after being run over by a tracker trailer truck. I was riding my bicycle at the time of the accident. When the EMT’S got to me I had no pulse and was nearly out of blood. I never gave up though and an EMT named Jr. performed CPR in route to the waiting helicopter and brought me back to life. The next 9 hours my heart stopped 4 more times and went through 40 units of blood and spent 2 months in the hospital. The doctors all said I should be dead and asked me why are you still here? Yet, I live on! I am told my story of never giving up and taking life one breath at a time is a lesson for us all. I wrote the book “One Breath At a Time” which tells the whole story. For sale on Amazon.com I am now a full time artist, children’s book author, and motivational speaker. “The truck did not stop me it just slowed him down…” “Art healed me and continues to heal me…” “In the hospital I learned… that I am truly loved, I matter and worth it in this world to create art and to continue on…”

Jim Meehan Pennsylvania, USA

I was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1952. I’m what they used to call a draftsman or, basically, someone who draws. Drawing is something that is very unappreciated these days, except perhaps in the world of comic books, but that is my start and everything I do comes from that. My father was a cartoonist and I am basically one too. Although I can work from life, I like to draw from my head: visualize things. I find this to be a very satisfying form of expression, as if I were explaining something to myself, working it out, surprising myself a bit. The “lineman’s” art is an art of black and white, space and no space. You create depth by pointing at it with lines. You stop it by making a screen of criss-crossed lines. You define an object’s shape by wrapping it in lines, patterns upon patterns.

Tontxi Vazquez (Jose Antonio Vazquez) - UK/Puerto Rico “THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN ILLEGAL ALIEN” The study of Light put me in the proximity of chemical, physical and aesthetic channels. Photography propelled me into the deep spaces of personal expression and discovery. Never compelled to ‘compete” at all. On this route I met many, some quite re-known while others remained anonymous except for our mutual memories and craftsmanship. Furthermore my work(s) developed from my intimate proximity to social-political movements, schools of thought, especially Native American, Youruba-Dahomey and Sufi cosmology, ZEN and a vapid NYC Bohemian lifestyle tinged by my Puerto Rican-Latin, Afro- Caribbean & Euro-American post-colonial reality. Musical pleasures as a musician has always been crucial to me, especially the sounds of the African Diaspora, Latin American composers and both the repertoire of the piano and guitar. Inclusively I have had the privilege of being nominated for the Cartier Bresson Award back in 1987 or so by the Image Bank. The works have been featured in numerous museums, galleries and private collections, including LightWorks, The Catskill Center of Photography, El Museo del Barrio, The New Museum of Contemporary Art, NYC, Fashion-Moda, Enfoco, Apt Creekside Award for Photography presented by Sasha Craddock, The Bronx Museum, Newark Museum I have also acted as Curator for numerous Alternative NYC galleries, was a recipient of a National Endowment Grant for the Humanities via Enfoco and the work has also been featured in a number of leading magazines and periodicals such as The Village Voice, NYC, Harper’s Magazine, El Dia, PR, Bob & Roberta Smith’s Hijack Reality, DeptfordX, London, NY Times, Holland Cotter, LATINOS by Earl Shorris. And due to a biopic tome, before I even had a life, Earl Shorris, Harper’s Magazine editor wrote my life story in 1978 and again the privilege was to work with art director Sheila Berger and to also meet author Tom Wolfe. I have also been in close and intimate proximity with Norman Mailer, Manuel Alvarez Bravo, Arnold Newman, Charlie Biasiny –Rivera, Founder of Enfoco and Lord Cecil Beaton’s Puerto Rican assistant but also friend to UK photographer Tony-Ray Jones. Then there is the photolab experience; the last 15 years filmmaker experience which lead to be twice chosen in 2009 and 2010 to 104

be in the coveted Cannes Producers Network representing the UK. Where I am now involved in the development of foreign language feature length stories. It’s a smaller world through a viewfinder. For the past 13 years a resident in the UK my work has been sparse, slow and evolving. I have edited several monographs from my archive the works have also attracted acquisition interest from Columbia University’s Rare Books and Manuscripts Collection, but I am most excited about the near future publishing of “THE NOISE OF TIME/My First 20 Years of Memory,” a limited edition of platinum prints to be included. And least but not all, I grew during the 70’s a crucial period in the art world of NYC. I befriended en entourage of Art World Players, I can drop names galore and yes I have had amigos who have climbed the Statue of Liberty to plaster across her crown the PR Flag in protest of USA’s 100 year dominance, artist locked up for up to 55 years, the Young Lords Party a Puerto Rican version of The Black Panthers pursuing civil rights for Boricua and Latino émigrés en ‘el Norte.’ I volunteered to establish the Tribeca Film Festival soon after 911. At the end of the day I have never ever had a problem with my identity, simply stated I am a Puerto Rican polymath-survival rendered me that way. I am on the human side of things. Click! And an added footnote: Arthur Goldberg, a major US collector of contemporary photography for the last 40 years, said that it was up to history to decide if there should be equality between fine art photography and the rest of the art market when he spoke at the Artelligence conference in New York back in 2012. However, he thought that buying photography was a real opportunity to own great art at a lower price. “Great art is great art,” he said, “whatever the medium.” www.gihonrivercollective.com/#/tontxi-vazquez www.goldenfleecefilms.com Selected works from ‘PINTA 2014’, London's 1st Latin American Photography Exhibition (www.pintalondon.com) All prints offered are either Vintage withArtist verso signature processed and hand printed by Tontxi Vazquez close to the origin of the negative and or chrome, with the exception of a few digital images and or the limited edition of 315; limited modern printing available of all the selects as well. Antonella Raimondo London, UK

My artwork takes on various forms and techniques as I love to experiment with the different characteristics between acrylic, tattoo ink, water colour, collage, pen, marker and pencil to bring these together in order to create a different artistic dimension. I always look to find the perfect marriage between the mixed mediums and often find that used together they create a very dream like, enchanting quality. After more than 10 years where I built my artistic education which include a degree in "Academy of Fine Arts" (Genoa, Italy) a year in Paris at the "Universite' Paris 8 S.Denis " (France), a master course in "Decoration and Restoration of Historical Buildings" (Imperia, Italy), I decided to move to London in 2011 to become a freelance artist who works as a painter, interior decorator, and graphic designer. I can see myself growing as a professional artist living my dreams, travelling the world to fuel my creative flow. www.antonellaraimondo.com www.linkedin.com/in/artistantonella www.facebook.com/artistantonella

Werens Barcelona - Catalonia, Spain The creator Ramon Puig (1967, Barcelona), a.k.a Werens, has been actively involved in national and international artistic circles for more than 25 years, mainly due to his dedication to the world of Urban Art. During this time he has generally focussed his attention on graffiti, despite the fact that he has, as you might expect, been associated with wall painting. Throughout this period he has also worked in other fields such as illustration, graphic design and audio-visual projections. According to Werens, graffiti painting is the best way of bringing art to everyone, in collaborating with the idea of making the world a more agreeable place, and trying to offset the absurd thoughts of those who prefer grey, empty and lifeless cities. Werens is a firm believer in the fact that by introducing graffiti to galleries a new groundswell of possibilities could be generated in contemporary art, enriching it with a new language and a new vision of the current world. Right now it is possible to find Werens's newest creations in European art galleries. He experiments with new themes, new techniques and new concepts, which are reflected in the presentation of the works of art of a forerunning street artist of his genre. In his works the mixture of forms and textures that express frantic rhythms are highlighted using illuminated fluorescent colours and ultraviolet light. On the whole his creations are a spectacular and astounding visual experience. His paintings are well advanced and in line with the philosophy of ImpaktesVisuals, which is an Urban Art gallery located in Barcelona, with an artistic intensity that can be compared to other European capitals, which are at the forefront of the latest trends. www.werens.com www.vimeo.com/66305092 www.vimeo.com/14539674

Carlo Keshishian London, UK

Born 1980, London, UK, of Armenian descent. Keshishian has been producing both visual and sonic art since his prepubescent years; in an attempt to understand, evaluate, control, explore, and communicate. The process through which his ideas travel often stems from an intuitive place, gradually metamorphosing towards a much more controlled path, through which answers reveal themselves to him. His work ranges from intricate abstract pieces which show an almost obsessive level of self-discipline and attention to detail, to more confessional, almost comic book like pieces which offer a glimpse into his inner life. This introverted nature is reflected in Carlo's use of art as a tool for self analysis and self improvement, he sees his work as a 'visual diary of his thoughts' and, like a diary, his work often communicates the passing of time and it's sometimes illusionary nature. His sparing use of colour explores contrast and intensity, sometimes leading to optical effects, which although not initially planned, add another layer of impact to his work. The use of rhythm and texture in his visual work is directly related to his musical output, one influences the other and both show the passionate, obsessive and confessional elements which are intrinsic to Carlo's vision of himself and the world around him. Carlo Keshishian has exhibited his paintings and drawings internationally in solo exhibitions, group shows and art fairs at a variety of spaces including the prestigious Tate Modern in London, and both the Carrousel du Louvre and Palais de Tokyo in Paris. His work was recently published on the cover of David Maclagan's latest book 'Line Let Loose: Scribbling, Doodling and Automatic Drawing'. www.carlokeshishian.com www.facebook.com/carlokeshishian www.reaktionbooks.co.uk/display.asp?K=9781780230825

Paul Czainski Yorkshire, UK B.A hons & postgraduate diploma (Goldsmiths) F.F.D - I.G.O.R

-

Primarily a figurative painter I work with my artist wife Chris Czainski in our studio in West Yorkshire. We involve ourselves in any artistic/creative endeavour that crops up and takes our fancy; which can be 3D, 2D, performance, installations, film....... Subject matter varies but my paintings often have a surreal or distinctly odd flavour. I love to work from my imagination but am equally happy painting from life and I've developed my skills and techniques throughout the years to be able to cope with any ideas that might come my way. As a recognised trompe l'oeil artist I receive commissions from around the world, often through contacts made during my time working with top international interior designers and some of my paintings and projects have featured in books and magazines. I have recently illustrated a physics theory book for young children and collaborated with Chris in creating a 'Cabinet of Curiosities' for an arts festival in Staithes, Yorkshire, where I am creating a public trompe l’oeil trail around the village, sponsored by the National Park. As the "Fabulous Czainskis" we recently undertook an artist’s residency in Thailand through Surface Arts. I exhibit at Patterson Gladwell gallery in Knightsbridge London and also in my home county at the Staithes Gallery, (Staithes, Whitby) and Water Street Gallery, (Todmorden, West Yorkshire) www.czainski.com

Josianne Ishikawa Japan/USA

I am an American citizen and a resident of Japan. I like to work with opposites uniting them to create a harmonic whole: strength and delicacy, the use of intense color alongside translucency, bold lines and soft composition. My paintings reflect my life of majestic views of Mt. Fuji, the sodality of koi ponds and the emotions that lie beneath the cultural mask. www.josianneishikawa.com

Brian Gibson Bath, UK

I was creatively active a long time before seeing myself as an artist. I began work as an apprentice silk screen printer, making large copies of pop art prints (Warhol, Litchensten) for clothing boutiques. In the evenings I would go out and photograph emerging punk bands (Talking Heads; The Clash; Ramones; plus local groups) on their early tours. Then I found myself as a vocalist for a band, I was no crooner but it was incredible being creative with a bunch of other people, I had a great time. Other creative ventures followed and eventually I decided on take on a more formal art education at college. www.briangibson.yolasite.com

Gareth Hughes London, UK

My work has been to date about birth. Mother/Fatherhood. Angels/demons, who fight on our plan in forms of our relationships, to self, to others to the imagined. Responding in kind to the existential nature of our threefold selves. Mind body spirit. Time is the basic frame of our life lived. It moves at will thru the thoughts dreams illusions we have engendered to the forming of our self incarnate. The work is therefore spiritual idealist and about seeking knowledge of being human In the altogether inhuman world.

Alison Silva New Jersey, USA

I am a self-taught painter whose passion is sharing the metaphors I uncover in life's layers. I have always been drawn to legends, folklore and dreamworlds. My paintings are permanent records of fantastical moments, dreams reflected in the symbolic fountains of inspiration, allegories of philosophical restlessness. These apparitions act as catalysts for self-reflection. In my work, I ponder our multifaceted identities as beings of this world, the colors, textures and strokes, which sometimes die just to be reborn, embody words and emotions. www.alisonsilva.com

Risja Marie HenriĂŤtte Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Risja Marie HenriĂŤtte reworks old family-pictures into new, weird or funny stories. She distorts our sense of time & place completely with pins, needles, glue and scissors she changes an old story into untimely worlds. 19 years old and bed-bound due to disease, she rediscovered her love for collages and found a way to spend more time in her imagination and less into her body. It seems like you are trapped in a grim, fairy tale-like parallel universe. Images of the other side, the place where the origin of our spirit lies when we travel back into the womb & where our spirit travels back to when we leave our earthly bodies. Risja is now trading her hometown in Holland for Amsterdam where she will be working as an artist. www.risja22.wix.com/rmhsteeghs www.thegreattragedian.blogspot.co.uk 198

Karl Mullen Massachusetts, USA

Karl Mullen's palette is the larder: red wine, walnut oil and ink, Barry's tea, pastes in silver tins, powders like exotic spices. To watch Mullen paint is to watch a weird amalgam of line chef, body-worker, bartender and day laborer, each having sworn off the traditional tools of the trade. In his studio--the just barely heated, former horse stall of his 19th-century barn--he drops a fresh piece of 22" x 30" Arches paper onto the concrete floor. Standing over the paper, he pours two small circles of walnut ink, leans over to spit into each pool, watches the chemical sizzle for a moment or two, then crouches, nicking into each pool with the edge of a sharp-tipped palette knife, scraping away, pulling down strands of ink in curves and arcs. These gestures form the outlines and initial features of the human figures characteristic of Mullen's work. Mullen discovers his subjects as he paints, surprising himself, restless. Some figures will have limbs that stretch in ways at once impossible yet familiar. Some will have rather more vestigial parts, like tadpole ancestors toward whom we feel inexplicably drawn. Rib-like lines may radiate from a spine, a torso may store organs of secret color. Mullen's figures wear hats or crowns, play instruments, balance odd packages. They may stand apart, listing toward one another or veering away. They may embrace with elastic, ecstatic arms. One body may subsume another. Their faces may tilt, dog-style, wondering, waiting. Around the figures Mullen may gouge curves and tracks, carving Ă la cuneiform. A prolific artist, Mullen typically has dozens of paintings at varying stages of completion. Stacks of them lean against the rough-plank walls or lie in the shallow drawers of metal drafting cabinets. Clutter is everywhere; no surface is clear. A banjo sits on top of a bowl of bottle caps.

214

A wooden crate of brushes and ink jars teeters on a djembe. When a mouse chews a hole in a painting, opportunities appear. Mullen's work is shown in galleries throughout North America and Europe, and in the annual Outsider Art Fair in New York. Like Dubuffet's art brut, of which "outsider art" is the English approximation, Mullen's paintings privilege the raw over the cooked, spontaneous process over studied composition, the iconic over the naturalistic, the primitive over the polished. A painting at the initial ink-, wine-, and tea-stage will dry for a long as a month. When Mullen returns to it, he may add oil pastel detail or scoop from a silver tin of cold wax. Then he pours swirls of Graham's walnut oil to form the field of color upon which the figures are poised to move. Onto the oil he shakes generous amounts of Sennelier dry pigment (Picasso's brand), stalking around the paper, a distracted man, pacing. Then, pulling on gloves, he kneels to the floor and begins to rub, open palms smearing in circular motions, reaching with outstretched arm, massaging the fresh-mixed pigment into the very skin of the paper. He swabs the excess with a wadded rag. New bodies may surface. An orb may appear on the paper, rimmed by beads of light or shadow, signs of eclipses as yet undocumented by science. Tears may be shed by the radiant sky itself. Pressed up against the sky, a face may squint or smirk. Rambunctiousness is afoot. Ardor is always just around the corner. True dat Cassandra J. Cleghorn Poet

Christy Symington MRBS London, UK

Christy's comments on her 3 AREAS OF INTEREST Tigers, Portrait and Figure, Abstract - Sculpture and Drawings TIGER SCULPTURE and DRAWINGS I am concerned for the survival of tigers in the wild. With only 3200 left wild tigers are on the brink of extinction - just 3.2% in numbers than 100 years ago. Loss of habitat, poaching and demand for traditional Chinese medicines are ongoing threats. In the natural world the tiger’s only predator is man. Man is solely responsible for the slaughter of the tiger for commercial gain. The work celebrates the majestic beauty and prowess of the tiger as well as it powerful cultural and symbolic presence and confronts the threats to the survival of tigers in the wild. For the inauguration of the new Tiger Territory at ZSL London Zoo I was commissioned to make a lifesize sculpture 'Tiger Going for a Swim' installed in February 2013 - editions available below. I was born in the Year of the Tiger PORTRAIT and FIGURE SCULPTURE My portrait sculptures and figures raise awareness of people whose achievements are substantial, but still little recognised, to bring life to their story. These are often 'people of colour'. Through time indigenous peoples have been invaded, oppressed and even today fundamental survival needs for many are lacking for the benefit of others. History has been warped but is gradually being refreshed to repair its truth. These works tell some of the stories that have been omitted. 219

ABSTRACT SCULPTURE and DRAWINGS My abstract sculptures envelop an ad-hockery of materials. Many using plaster and working with its liquid to solid property intruded by other elements or absorbing other elements. Sensual impressions, textural scars and added remnants offer memories of that now absent. The interaction of structural man made materials coalesce with natural organic form exploring both macro and micro bindings. The earth's surface is continually shifting its balance in response to human construction and excavation. Our exponential needs lead to decorating, deforming and causing imbalance. Nature will always respond. Christy is Head of Sculpture at The Art Academy London. She studied traditional figure sculpture and drawing techniques in Paris at Les Ateliers Beaux-Arts Montparnasse and Glaciere, Ecole Superieure des Arts Appliques Duperre and L’ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts. This was preceded by a year of life figure/portrait modelling and sculpture techniques at Kensington and Chelsea College. She graduated from the New York Studio School with Merit Award for Sculpture spending 4 years in the USA and was the selected sculpture student to exchange to the Slade School of Art. She took an MA in Fine Art at Byam Shaw (Central St Martins), University of the Arts London. Christy is a Member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors (and Council Member from 20032007) exhibiting in the UK and internationally.

Artist Founder Director/Curator at Uncooked Culture www.uncookedculture.com & www.uncookedculture.ning.com Nok is a multi-disciplinary Thai artist based in London found objects sculptural installation, mixed media & painting. Nok experienced THE ‘NO’ - the discouragement, common amongst artists. That discouraged experience led her to a curatorial experimentation of THE ‘YES’ - the encouragement, which furthers opportunities and raises confidence of those passionate and dedicated artists based on barrier-breaking principles. Through her artistic practice both as an artist and a curator, Nok encourages all of us to investigate ourselves as to who we are, as free-willed individuals, along with influences around us, in order to realize and attempt to gain more of our Freedom of Choice.
