Meet the Spartans

Summer Ball: Played the summers of 2006 and 2007 with the Frozen Ropes baseball club in White Plains, NY under the eye of coach Ryan Castle.

At UNCG 2007: Finished the season with a 5.04 ERA, third-best on the Spartan pitching squad... appeared in 30 games with three starts... tied for the team best with 27 games in relief and two saves... completed the year with a 4-5 record... led the team in appearances (30, which also ranked seventh in the SoCon) and games finished (13)... ranked second with a total of 48 strikeouts, 14 of them with batters looking... his 55.1 innings on the mound were third on the team... tied for third in wins (4)... tallied a season-high six strikeouts in the 9-4 victory over Furman (Apr. 7)... recorded saves in the 2-1 triumph over Army (Mar. 2) and the 5-3 win against College of Charleston (May 12). • • • UNCG

At Bloomfield: 2007: Under coach Matt Belford, finished the season ranked second on the team with a .376 batting average... started 31 of 32 games played... in 109 at-bats he tallied 25 runs, 41 hits, six doubles, four homeruns, and 23 RBI... in the field he recorded 95 putouts and four assists... in the 10-6 and 3-0 doubleheader sweep over American International College (Apr. 7) he was 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI in game-one and in game-two he added a pair of hits.
