The complex consists of an Academy, Administration, Dining Hall, Auditorium and Male/ Female Dormitory for 350 students and 60 administration staff. This complex was constructed in 18 months.

CENTER FOR WOMEN Chief Architect and Project Manager, International Organization of Migration, February 2014 Location: Faryab Province Project Summary: A school, library, computer lab and assembly hall for 250 women. In partnership with the Royal Norwegian Embassy and the Department of Women’s Affair. This project was construction in 14 months.

Christie Street Hotel, New York City:

This Hotel is a high rise building using innovative and unique facade engineering. The hotel is a concrete structure with glass curtain wall facade that incorporates the use of a stone rain screen. This rain screen is a exploration in innovative design and materiality. The rain screen is made of basalt stone inspired by the sculptures of Isamu Naguchi. I developed, researched and designed the exterior shell of the building.

21 West Water, Sag Harbor:

My role as project architect carried this 19 unit high end condominium from schematic design to construction administration. It was the first building of its size to be built in Sag Harbor, New York. The Building went through a rigorous architectural review process and successfully gained the approval of the traditional minded historic water front village.

Confluence Residence, New York: A Sustainable private residence designed for maximum energy efficiency, use of indigenous and recycled material, and maximizing the use of space for the home’s programmatic planning. As project manager, balancing the sustainable design aspect and the overall budget was an important factor. This house followed the guidelines for the LEED green building certification system. The construction documents for this project was drawn entirely in Revit.

My role as project architect conceptualized this contemporary addition to an existing historic library. The skin on this building was inspired by the book stacks inside a library.. It is a series of undulating glass that is defined in rows. The skin is colourful, playful and allows for a kaleidoscope of light into the building.

Sustainable Living for a 420 SF Apartment:

The 420 square foot apartment has a movable cabinet in the center that will slide back and forth. This movement allows the space to transform and maximize the floor area. Conceptually, each space is independent from each other, creating the feeling of separate rooms, yet they can also function simultaneously and organically, if one wishes. All materials used and specifications are sustainable products, making this 420 SF jewel box a smart and extremely flexible design.
