Understanding our own business is of little value if we are unable to understand our customer’s business. In order for us to provide any one of our services we need to fully assess your needs. We offer our capabilities to a broad spectrum of customers, ranging from a private individual to the largest supermarket and retail chains in the UK. From a single comfort cooling system for the home to multiple VRF / VRV systems for a national hotel group. Our sales, design, project management and installation engineers are experts in their field and, in our opinion, this is a pre-requisite. However, their selection is also based on their individual experience and personality. Our operational competence ensures that we are fully conversant with the task to be undertaken. Nevertheless this is futile without comprehending your operations. For example; a service engineer carrying out a scheduled maintenance to air conditioning in a retail clothing outlet in a crowded shopping centre, in the middle of their busiest period, will not enhance sales. Although our roots are firmly planted in the world of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, our other divisions have been born out of an intrinsic continuation of our expansion. More and more clients request a one stop solution and AB Air Conditioning recognise the need for skilled in house capabilities. Electrical capabilities are a must for any new installation. Delays on site are avoided by utilising our own electrical engineers negating the requirement for multiple contract levels. All engineers are fully qualified to current NICEIC standards. Small works mechanical facilities allow us to overcome other bolt on challenges such as mounting frames and ductwork associated with air conditioning installations. Very few projects are without minor additions or alterations and our mechanical division enables us to overcome these challenges without delay.

Our equipment hire division can provide short or long term hire of portable air conditioners, de-humidifiers, heaters and even pedestal fans. This again dovetails well with other installations, providing short term solutions where required. Albeit these divisions mainly provide support for our main activities at this time, they too are rapidly expanding and will soon provide stand alone proficiency in their own right. Our refrigeration division is expected to do so within the next few months. AB Air Conditioning History AB Air Conditioning was founded by Andrew Blackman in April 2008. As former co-owner of the Denman Group, Andrew played a key part in the development of his business from a new start company in 1998 to a £50m turnover group. Employing in excess of 300 staff by 2007, the company was subsequently sold. With a hand picked team, Andrew has continued with his successful track record and has demonstrated a seamless transition into his new venture. Our recruitment programme has seen several key personnel join our team within the last 6 months and new announcements are expected within the next phase of AB Air Conditioning’s development. From conception AB Air Conditioning’s growth has been dramatic. 2009/10 saw our turnover approaching £2m and we are very confident that it will more than double to exceed £4m by the end of this financial year. Contracts already under negotiation look likely to produce similar growth for the coming years.
