Product Description Ulterion® 2807 WT is a low surface tension water-based resin developed for superior water repellency. It has applications in moisture barrier coatings, overprint varnishes, cold release coatings, food packaging coatings, and others where water holdout is a requirement. Ulterion® 2807 WT will make paper nonwicking and water resistant for applications at the wet end of the paper machine. The paper made with this product is completely repulpable.
Ulterion® 542 OPV, will produce paper with good water repellency and a balance of moisture barrier properties and maintain strength under wet & humid conditions. Ulterion® 2807 WT with a cationic promoter. Ulterion® 8029, a special poly-aluminum chloride is used, 0.5 parts to 1 part Ulterion® 2807 WT. A poly-DADMAC is a second choice. Polyamines do not appear to work well and allows for reduction or elimination when Ulterion® 8029 is used.

Handling / Storage Stability Keep from freezing. Store in a cool, dry area, i.e., 70 – 80°F. Keep away from high heat. Heat will shorten the 2-month shelf life. Ulterion® 2807 WT is also available in 100% solids powder form, which can be stored up to 3 years.

Application Methods Typical wet end applications use 30 – 50 wet pounds per ton. Coating after treatment with
