Product Description Ulterion® 2500 WT is a high Tg, slightly hydrophobic, anionic, water-based resin developed for water repellency and improved strength. It has applications in barrier coatings, overprint varnishes, inkjet formulations, xerographic binder formulations, polyvinyl alcohol replacement in sizing formulations, packaging coatings, and others where water resistance and strength is a requirement. Ulterion® 2500 WT will make paper nonwicking and provide dry strength for applications at the wet end of the paper machine. The paper made with this product is completely repulpable.

pounds per ton. Coating after treatment with ® Ulterion 542 OPV, will produce paper with good water repellency and a balance of moisture barrier properties and maintain strength under wet & humid conditions. ® Ulterion 2500 WT must be used in conjunction with a cationic promoter. ® Ulterion 8029, a special poly-aluminum ® chloride is used, 0.5 parts to 1 part Ulterion 2500 WT.
