There are a lot of reasons to celebrate in 2017. The Faculty of Arts & Science will offer a total of $50,000 in awards to new firstyear university students. There will be five awards worth $10,000 each given to qualifying students enrolled in a bachelor of arts, bachelor of science or bachelor of arts & science program. The students will be selected based on type of degree, high school academic performance and financial need. Priority will be given to students pursuing non-traditional fields of study and those with unique circumstances. At least one award will be given to a First Nations, MĂŠtis or Inuit student. The Destination Project will be a place for community engagement and outreach; a place with innovation laboratories where undergraduate and graduate research opportunities develop, and knowledge moves from the lab to industry; a place that fosters the next generation of researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders.
