What is the Labour iPhone app? •

The Labour Party’s iPhone app keeps you up-to-date with the latest local and national news from Labour and also provides you the tools to campaign for the Party.

Non-member users can use the app to sign up to attend campaigning events and volunteer for local Labour candidates.

Member users can do that plus use the Phonebank to contact voters on behalf of the Party.

To sign up for an event or to use the Phonebank you will need a Membersnet username and password. If you don’t have one then sign up at: http://members.labour.org.uk/

Login •

To login using your Membersnet username and password – tap Login .

Tap out your Membersnet username and password and then tap Done .

To logoff, just tap Logoff .

To view the latest national Labour Party news on your iPhone, tap N ews .

You will then see a summary of the latest news – click on any of the summaries to view a story in full.

Local Labour News •

Our app uses the iPhone’s ability to geolocate your position to get you Local Labour news.

To view the latest Local Labour Party news, tap Local

You will then see news summary – click on any story to see the full article.

Local Events •

The Party’s iPhone app brings you events straight from Membersnet. Before you sign up to an event you need to have logged in using your Membersnet username and password.

Tap Local events e vents from main menu; then tap the event to view further information. You can also sign up to attend.

Some events have multiple dates and times to attend. To select one of these tap Sign

To view a map of the event tap Map - you can then use Google Maps to get direction from your current location to where you need to be.

Labour in your area • • •

You can sign up to volunteer for a labour candidate in your current location. Click Labour in your area then click volunteer to be directed to a volunteer form complete and send. You will receive information on events and sessions.

iPhone Bank •

App users who are also Labour Party Members have access to the Phonebank.

To get started, make sure you’re logged into Membersnet, then tap Phonebank and select the Parliamentary Constituency you want to do calling for.

You should try our test call facility first by tapping Make a test on to make a live call.

To get up to the minute news from the Party use the app to view the Party’s Twitter Feed.
