The Honorary Patronage of the Conference will be held by the Rector of the Hugo Kołłątaj Agricultural University of Krakow, Prof. Dr hab. Janusz Żmija Aim of the Conference The aim of the Conference is presentation and discussion of the current scientific and practical achievements in the technological and ergonomic optimization of forest utilization conducted under the conditions of stable and sustainable forest management. Conference Themes The exchange of the current scientific achievements and practical applications between scientific centers in many countries of Europe and around the world should contribute to the improvement of forest utilization quality, intensification of international co-operation in research and student education and increase in international scientific exchange. The Conference theme panels will include: 1) Modern techniques and technologies of timber harvesting in sustainable forestry; 2) Ergonomics in the execution of technology and project applications in forestry; 3) Modern trends of technical and technological solutions in forest utilization in the world; 4) Academic teaching of forest utilization and ergonomics in sustainable forestry. Grzegorz Szewczyk General information The Conference is going to take place for 3 days. The first day is held in the Congress Center of the Agricultural University of Krakow, in the building of the Faculty of Forestry while the other two days at the Didactic Center of the Experimental Forestry Unit in Krynica. The Conference program includes visits to unique forest objects related to problems discussed during the Conference. The areas are situated in the surroundings of Krynica. After their review, papers and poster summaries will be published in the Scientific Papers of Publishing House of the Agricultural University in Krakow (ISBN).
