Around the globe, hunger is the enemyâ€” of health, of achievement, of development. Without a secure, sustainable food supply that cannot be sundered by an earthquake or a hurricane or social upheaval, without secure ways to store and distribute the food that is grown, and without a steady, healthy diet for its citizens, the future of developing countries is grim.
