Foreword Dear Colleagues, In front of you is the new edition of the manual and address book of the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies’ members. With it, we are presenting the association’s new visual identity, alongside with its 20th anniversary. We hope you will like it as much as we do. In this edition, we sought to make information even more clear and accessible. As usual, our members are presented by their name, business address and short business profile. Using this manual, you can quickly and easily choose the best potential partner for yourself: by type of business, agency character or based on different activities they are involved with. At the same time, we bring the most important information about the specifics of doing business with our inbound and outbound travel agencies and tour operators, as well as contacts of all representatives of the Croatian National Tourist Board worldwide. At the time when many tourism oriented countries in our surrounding and wider record negative results, we have, thanks to the efforts and support by the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian National Tourist Board, as well as to your additional devotion in promotion of Croatia, recorded an increase in the number of organised arrivals to Croatia and in this way accomplished the best tourist season in Croatian history! To this success, ECTAA’s promotion of Croatia as a preferred destination in 2011/2012 also contributed significantly. We surely want to continue this trend in the future, mostly by discovering all secrets hidden in tourist undiscovered parts of Croatia, primarily in its inland. Besides, we are hoping for your support in development and placement of new programmes for special interest market ∑ bird watching, botanical tourism, archaeological programmes, gastro and enology tours and travel packages, and other activities related to Croatia’s rich natural and cultural heritage. At the same time, we do not wish to diminish the significance of Croatian citizens travelling abroad, and primarily of those using our member’s services. Although the global crisis decreased the intensity of Croatian citizen’s travel, they, in large numbers, continue being loyal to their traditional destinations and are gladly discovering new ones. We are therefore looking forward to all business contacts which will also improve our member’s outbound activities, as well as contribute to cooperation on future projects with all European tourism associations and wider, with an aim of promoting Croatia as a destination and promoting Croatian tourism in general. We hope that this brochure will be a good and useful tool for establishment of new and improvement of existing business relations of our members and all travel agencies and tour operators wishing to do business on the Croatian market. We believe that it will also serve just as well to all other professional colleagues, but also to our tourists using our member’s services by enabling them to become familiar with Croatia in the best possible way, in a way they perhaps have not experienced before.
