Member Spotlight

Cameron Riley, junior

What inspired you to go into the advertising business? I was a business major and one day realized that if I had to sit in a cubicle every day for the rest of my life, I would hate myself. I took some time off school and met some people who had worked in advertising and the job sounded like fun, so here I am. What excites you most about our industry? It just seems like a fun and creative industry to be in. People are allowed, if not encouraged, to be weird. It’s not stuffy and overly formal and proper. Big egos and big ideas = a fun and interesting workplace. Do you have any kind of motto or life advice that you live by? Time is not a renewable resource. Spend your time doing only what you truly want to do. If you could only work for one agency or company in your career, could you pick one? Why? Wieden+Kennedy. No contest. If you got the hookup, get at me.

Keep up the awesome work, Cameron! We love recognizing our outstanding members. If you know someone who deserves a spotlight, email mmundo@ufl.edu.
