member spotlight w/Andrew Hung
Hi, I’m Andrew. Talking to new people terrifies me and my favorite color is blue. I was born in Melbourne and lived the typical ABC (American Born Chinese) childhood: playing my DS in a corner of my parent’s restaurant until it was time to go home to violin and piano lessons. Though I embodied the Asian American stereotype for the most part, I broke the mold somewhat by becoming captain of the powerlifting team in high school. Here at UF, my current hobbies are breakdancing and fencing, and I’m pursuing a B.S. in Digital Arts and Sciences with the aim of being a UX designer. Combining computer science, sociology, and art to design for people was a challenge that intrigued me, and I joined Ad Society to improve my graphic design skills alongside my engineering classes. Although design has been my main focus, I’ve recently also found a passion for digital painting.
