Spotlight My creativity was sparked by something unimaginable — a dreaded research paper about “how advertising affects adolescents.” I bashed advertising for being too negatively impactful. Well, 3 years later I decided that I would use their power for good instead of evil.

We asked Sarah...

My choice was solidified when I saw my favorite campaign: The Dove Beauty campaign. It captured beauty and diversity in every sense of the word. That was the first campaign that made me do a double take. In the future, I hope to have a MAMC in Web Design degree (this is not a sponsored ad) and be a designer/art director or a design professor. Most importantly, I want to enjoy every day with the people I hold dear to me.

So, why Ad Society? Well, because no one judges you (at least not out loud) and they inspire you. I needed that for me to grow personally and professionally. I can now step out of the perpetual box that surrounds me to speak and design in confidence.

Katie Brady ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - LEO BURNETT

I am an Account Executive on the Coors Light account, specializing in shopper marketing and retail activations for our sports partnerships. My team develops signage, merchandise and unique activations, all designed to help sports fans engage with the Coors Light brand (aka BUY BEER). As Account Executive, I act as the point-person between the client and the creative team, overseeing project development from start to finish. Next time you’re at a bar or the grocery store, look around for beer displays or messaging. Chances are, my team worked on it. My favorite part about working at Leo Burnett is the people. Hands down. The agency is staffed by some of the most talented, inspiring, amazing people I have ever met. They are the reason I come to work every day. One of my biggest achievements was figuring out how to make a perfect Starbucks Iced Green Tea Lemonade knockoff, using only the office kitchen supplies.
