MARCUS WILSON

We asked Marcus... What’s the funniest wi-fi name you’ve seen?

If you were a dog, what breed would you be?

What’s your favorite song/artist right now?

I am a third year Advertising major with a minor in entrepreneurship from Atlanta, GA. I transferred here last semester from Kennesaw State University because of UF’s superior advertising program. I have two citizenships, American of course and a Bajan because my dad’s side of the family is from Barbados. As a kid I was always intrigued by the ads I used to see on TV and my interest grew as I got older. I took a video editing class that really got me into making promotional videos. Recently I’ve started to use these interests to make fundraising videos for lesser known charities to help them gain extra exposure. Other than advertising stuff my two main passions are sports and music. I like to listen to all genres but my favorite right now would have to be hip-hop. My favorite sports teams are the Atlanta Falcons (yes I’ve heard all the 28-3 jokes), the LA clippers, and the Argentinian national team because Messi is the G.O.A.T. For fun I like to hang out with my friends and try new things like check out new restaurants, clubs. I also like outdoor activities like kayaking, paddle boarding, and cliff diving. One of my favorite quotes is “ I can accept failure, but I cannot accept not trying”- Michael Jordan
