CONESTOGA (WEST CHESTER) AT DELAWARE: At Delaware: Will handle the closing duties for the third-straight season for the Blue Hens • ranks second in program history with 17 saves during career at Delaware, needing only one have the most in UD history. 2012: Continued showcasing a sensational fastball during second season as the closer of the Blue Hens by registering a team-leading eight saves • was tied for third in the Colonial Athletic Association with eight saves • tallied a single-season program record of 15.45 SO/9.0 IP • in 14 of 25 appearances, Richter registered multiple strikeouts • finished the season with a 1-1 record in 24 appearances out of the bullpen • collected two, four-strikeout games on Mar. 18 vs. UNCW and Apr. 7 at William & Mary • produced a stretch from Mar. 20- Apr. 24 where he did not allow one run over 8.1 innings pitched and nine appearances • from Mar. 20-May 1 did not allow a single earned run over 12.0 innings pitched and 12 games • made four appearances in two days May 25 and 26 at the CAA Baseball Championships; did not produce a record with a 14.06 ERA (5 ER/3.2 IP), six walks and seven strikeouts • played with teammate Eric Buckland for the Peninsula Pilots of the Coastal Plain League during the summer • team produced a 26-28 record • posted a 3-0 record with two saves to go along with a 1.23 ERA (2 ER/14.2 IP), 8 hits, 10 walks and 29 strikeouts in 12 games. 2011: Simply sensational during his first season with the Blue Hens • anchored the bullpen while serving as the team’s closer • ranked second in the CAA with nine saves, which also marked the second-highest single-season total in Delaware history • finished 17 games during the year, which was the sixth-highest total among conference relievers • posted a 3.49 ERA while piecing together a 3-2 record • held the opposition to a .231 batting average while striking out 31 in just 28.1 innings of work • made an immediate impact on the team, earning a victory in his first career appearance on February 20 against UNC Greensboro • held the Spartans hitless while striking out two over 3.1 spotless frames during Delaware’s 3-1 victory • followed up that effort with his first career save after retiring two batters to close out the Blue Hens’ thrilling 7-3 victory over No. 9 Arizona State on February 25 • dominated during his first CAA action • struck out three during two scoreless innings against George Mason on March 11 before firing 1.2 pristine frames the very next day to earn his second save of the season • remained strong in conference play, picking up his third save with two strikeouts during one inning of work against Hofstra on March 19 • earned his second win of the season just 10 days later after striking out four over three innings of relief against Temple on March 29 • picked up saves in two of his next three appearances after striking out the final batter against

2013 baseball

Georgia State on April 2 before firing a scoreless inning against UNC Wilmington on April 9 • wrapped up the season with five scoreless appearances during his final seven games • picked up a win or save in four of those outings • earned his final victory of the year with 1.2 innings of relief against James Madison on April 22 • garnered saves for his relief efforts against Saint Joseph’s on April 20, Rutgers on April 26, and Princeton on May 3 • continued to dominate during the summer after joining the Syracuse Junior Chiefs of the New York Collegiate Baseball League • finished the season with a 1-0 record to go along with a stellar 0.51 ERA and 25 strikeouts • also earned one save in 11 appearances. 2010: Did not play baseball • walk-on member of the Blue Hen football team as a quarterback but did not see game action. 2009 (WEST CHESTER UNIVERSITY): Played baseball at NCAA Division II West Chester (Pa.)
