Silva on UConn: “When I began my college search, I visited UConn in my sophomore year of high school. After that I knew I wanted to make this my personal goal: to attend UConn and be part of their prestigious soccer program. The academic programs that UConn has to offer are phenomenal. After attending soccer camp and training with such a talented team and supportive coaching staff, I knew I wanted to be a Husky. As a competitive soccer player, I have always wanted to play at the highest level. I look forward to being a part of the team and helping our team achieve its goals!

Tarpey helped the Quickstrike FC to two State Cup Championships and one SYL National Championship... At Arlington, Tarpey was a two time captain where she earned three All-League, two All-State and two All-Section accolades... Tarpey is also a member of the National Honor Society. Personal: Miranda Renee is the daughter of Kevin and Wendy Tarpey…a pre-teaching major…born May 15, 1994. Tarpey on UConn: “When I went on my unofficial visit I fell in love with UConn immediately, the size, the location, all the academic choices, and the soccer. I choose UConn because I wanted to play at a top division one school and still be relatively close to home! I love everything the school has to offer.” The coaching staff on Miranda: “Miranda is a little spark in the midfield. She is a very technical player who is a playmaker at heart and one of her best qualities is that she is a tireless worker. She will be a great addition to the center midfield position.”
The coaching staff on Brittany: “Brittany is a hard nosed defender with good tactical awareness. She will add grit and depth to our back line.”
