On Saturday, February 3, 2018 , Project BEST scholars and staff traveled to the Bob Carr Center for the Performing Arts to the Orlando Philharmonic’s Crique de la Symphonie: Cirque Goes to the Cinema. The show included the orchestra’s beautiful performance of music from movies including Star Wars, Harry Potter, Batman, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Mission Impossible, and Titanic with amazing cirque performances. The audience was awed by aerial flyers, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, balancers, strongmen, and even a juggling clown. When asked to summarize the event, one scholar described it as “…really fun; it was something that I’ve never seen before. I had never seen such a great cinematic performance.”
