To qualify for entry into the Diploma in Law programme candidates must have one of the following requirements:

Overseas Exam Centre’s Administrative Fee - J$2,650.00. (Subject to change by April 2012).

Minimum 5 GCE O'Level or CXC subjects with passes at A, B or C / 1 or 2 (including English Language). Participants with CXCpasses at level 3 since 1998 are also eligible. Paralegal qualification from a recognized institution Candidates are required to complete an Admissions Test as well as an interview. ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:

UOL FEES: The cost is 1,363.00. All UOL fee payments are to be made by pound sterling draft made payable to University of London. Instructions will be provided by an eminent and highly qualified team of local faculty and other professionals. Overseas guest lecturers will be utilised where appropriate. QUALITY OF PROGRAMME: The University of London is recognised nationally and internationally as a centre of academic excellence. The quality of its programmes is assured through the assessment and examination process. Upon completion of the programme, you are awarded a University of London diploma TEXTBOOKS: The core text for courses will be provided by UOL . Students will be responsible for purchasing all other texts. Supplementary Textbooks may be purchased at competitive prices from the UCC Book & Gift Centre.

N.B. Interim payments should be negotiated with the Students’ Financial Services Department until loans are finalised.

Individuals interested in applying for admission to the UOL programme should submit the following: UCC Application Form for UOL Diploma in Law. Official transcript(s) from every college/tertiary institution/university attended. Non-refundable UCC application fee. One passport sized photo. DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE: Attach to your application, a photocopy of one of the following as proof of your full name (including any change of name and date of birth):

Applicants may apply for a student loan offered by one of several local financial institutions, such as the Churches Credit Union.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

All applicants are required to demonstrate oral and written competence in English Language.

STUDENT LOAN:

A Continuing Registration fee of £305 is applicable to persons who have successfully completed the Diploma in Law and are desirous of transferring to the 2nd year of the Bachelor of Laws degree. UCC Application ............................................................... US $20 (non-refundable)
