HazratAbdurRehman Bin Auf recounts that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) went towards Taif after the conquest of Makkah and stayed at its boundaries for 7 days. In the morning or evening, they entered Taif; stayed there and then migrated again. It was then that He said that: O people, without doubt for you I will be present first at the Hauz-e-Kausar and without doubt I request you in my will that you are benevolent with my family members and without doubt your destination shall be at the Hauz-e-Kausar. (Imam Hakim) Hazrat Abbas bin Abdul Mutlab tells that I once mentioned to the Prophet (SAW):`O Prophet of Allah, when Quraish meet each other, they greet each other very well, but when they meet us they act as if we are strangers and their faces lose all expression as well. Hazrat Abbas bin Abdul Mutalib recounts that Prophet Muhammad after hearing this, was overcome with such emotion that he said,” I swear on that Entity, in whose possession is my soul, that no one can have faith (Emaan) enter his heart unless he loves you for the sake of Allah, His Prophet and my closeness to you” (Ahmed, Nisai, Hakim, Bazar)
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas explains that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) once said, “stars prevent the living beings on this earth from destruction and my family members (Ahl-e-Bait) protect my people from dispute and when a group of people opposes them, dispute arises amongst them such that they become members of the (Satan) Satan’s group.(Imam hakim)
