Resolution #R-07-10 The University of Alabama Student Senate 2010-2011 A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND CONGRATULATING THE MANDERSON GRADUATE SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA FOR THEIR RECENT PLACEMENT IN THE 2010 U.S. NEWS RANKINGS Authored by: Carmen Groom Sponsored by: Drew Smyth WHEREAS: The Manderson Graduate School of Business is currently ranked No. 33 among the 255 MBA programs at public universities according to the 2010 U.S. News rankings; and WHEREAS: This places Manderson in the top 13 percent among public universities for this particular ranking; and WHEREAS: Manderson is also ranked No. 66 among all MBA programs at public and private universities; and WHEREAS: Manderson remains in the top five among MBA programs of the Southeastern Conference universities; and WHEREAS: This emphasizes the high quality of students in the MBA programs at the University of Alabama; and WHEREAS: This shows that Manderson has strong relationships with corporate partners who continue to hire business graduate students from Alabama even in the midst of the economic downturn. THEREFORE BE IT RESOVLED THAT: The SGA Student Senate hereby recognizes and congratulates the Manderson Graduate School of Business for its notable ranking among United States colleges and universities. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: Copies of this resolution be sent to Dean J. Berry Mason, Dean of the Business College; Susan Carver West, Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs; Dr. Kathleen Cramer, Senior Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and SGA Advisor; Mr. James Fowler, President of the SGA; Ms. Meg McCrummen, SGA Chief of Staff; and Mr. Chad Clark, SGA Advisor. Copies of this resolution shall also be sent to the Crimson White for informational purposes.
