Type of Degree
Students should possess a general grounding in chemistry, biology, physics, statistics, computing, and literature searching, together with a general aptitude for comprehensive reading, analysis, synthesis, team work and leadership, in addition to good oral communication skills. Students will need to be aware of the need for lifelong learning, and of being balanced and responsible, with a capacity for reflection, constructive criticism, observation, attention and listening. Students should also be dexterous, and motivated to help others.
This is an officially recognised University Degree, valid throughout the European Higher Education Area.

Career opportunities The Degree in Nursing qualifies graduates for professional practice in the regulated and chartered profession of Nursing. Generally, graduates work within the Public Health System, in hospitals, accident and emergency services, specialist centres, clinics and health centres. Other possibilities outside this system include private health institutions, geriatric, day and mental health centres, centres for the physically disabled and rehabilitation and education centres, company health departments, sports clubs and centres, spas, health insurance companies, penal institutions and other central, regional and local government institutions, non-governmental organisations, and on a self-employed basis. Furthermore, there is great demand for Spanish professionals within Europe, especially in the United Kingdom, Italy and Portugal.
