Omnibus Theatre is a wonderful hub of creativity, with an exciting and diverse program to suit all and we are delighted to be sponsoring their Christmas production of The Selfish Giant (28th November-24th December 2018.) Omnibus Theatre is a multi award-winning independent theatre in Clapham, South London and a recipient of the Peter Brook/Royal Court Theatre Support Award 2016 and Off-West End award winner 2017. The heart of the venue’s ambitious programme is inspired by the building’s literary heritage and lies in both classics re-imagined and contemporary storytelling. This November also marks Omnibus Theatre’s 5th anniversary. Since opening its doors in 2013, the theatre has offered over fifty artists dramaturgical support, free rehearsal space and an invaluable platform to present original work. Investing in the next generation of theatre makers is also at the heart of the theatre’s new initiative for young people Routes, a free theatre holiday programme for 5 – 11 year olds receiving free school meals where participants also receive breakfast and lunch. The aim is also to boost educational engagement as well as an interest in the arts. Omnibus Theatre is looking forward to the next five years continuing this vital work and presenting unforgettable theatre that’s yet to be discovered.
