The story so far: The Storyteller Shows are a chance for the audience to have a oneonone experience with Mark Haze. In the case of his regular shows – he’s always up on stage with his band, lights and smoke – a big performance. While he loves doing that, he has always wanted to be closer to the audience and go through what makes his songs what they are. vocalist and winner of a SAMRO overseas scholar ship, Monique Hellenberg brings a moving and refreshing tribute to songbird Eva Cassidy, one of the most powerful singers in folk music history. Enjoying lazy summer Sunday afternoons listening to the best in local and international music has become a tradition at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. Now in its 22nd year, the 2013/2014 season of Old Mutual Summer Sunset Concerts boasts one of the best line-ups ever. This year’s season kicks off on Sunday 24 November 2013 and runs through to 6 April 2014 and features something for everyone. With a line-up that promises the hottest artists on the coolest stage in Cape Town, prepare to spend every Sunday winding down at this iconic garden, which is in its centenary year. The Kirstenbosch stage is a favourite with many of the popular bands that are invited back to play in the Old Mutual Summer Sunset Concerts.
