Founded by Monroe county natives, Kathy Asselmeier and Brian Mueller, Garden Place opened in 2004 and has since grown to include active senior communities in Waterloo, Red Bud, Columbia and Millstadt – just a few of the charming towns that help define Southwestern, Illinois as an all-American and all around great place to live. Our quaint, homelike, and secure environment focuses entirely on caring for the special set of needs that accompany memory loss while providing comfort and peace of mind for family members. Respite care typically refers to a short-term stay at an assisted living or memory care community. Respite care is a great option for older adults or individuals living with a disability seeking day-to-day services alongside social stimulation and engaging activities.
