Challenging Structural Racism in Medicine FRIDAY, JANUARY 14 | 11:00 AM | ONLINE Historical injustices underlie the many health inequities we witness in healthcare. In order for us to understand how modern-day health inequities occur, we must examine the historical context in long-existing structural determinants of health, including structural racism. In our first training of the new year, subject expert Dr. Monica Hahn, MD, MPH, AAHIVS, Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF in the Department of Family & Community Medicine, will provide an overview of structural racism healthcare & medicine, specifically in HIV medicine.
