Other Certifications or Awards: Hobbies and Passions: Hobbies include writing poetry, reading, and enjoying my 5 dogs. My passion is helping others, and thinking of new ways I can be more valuable to the community. Why did your go into your particular field: Since the age of two years old, I was surrounded around the elderly population. My mother has been a Certified Nursing Assistant at a local nursing home for the past 27 years. I had the privilege of watching the way she interacted with her residents, and it made me fall in love with the idea of becoming a nurse. I gained so much knowledge from the elderly. You begin to love them like family, and to some you are the closest thing to family they have. I would not trade that feeling for anything. How do you hope to grow in your career : I am currently finishing up classes to gain enrollment into an ADN to MSN course. My goal is to become a Certified Nurse Practitioner.
