Spend the day with horses and earn your Horse Rider Badge. Learn how to get ready to ride, the different types of tack used to ride, and safety while participating in an equine activity. Then get in the saddle, learn how to ride and be able to handle a horse with confidence. At the end of the day, you’ll be able to demonstrate what you have learned! Girls Grades: 2-12 Session 1: Sunday, May 20 • 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Session 2: Sunday, June 3 • 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Location: Three D Ranch, 270 Purdy Rd., Paris, PA 15021 Cost: $110 per girl/No fee for adults. Camping is available for an additional $10. Either a sack lunch can be brought or you may purchase lunch for an additional $5 per person. Dinner will be available for purchase for an additional $10 per person.
Make Me a Princess
Get ready to spend a day receiving the royal treatment. Make a tiara, wand and a beautiful princess skirt. Enjoy a royal snack with other princesses, just like you. You will also learn the parts of a saddle and bridle, so much more! Multiple Counties Event Listing
Give a girl a fish, she’ll eat for a day; Teach a girl to fish and she will have a Girl Scout experience that will last a lifetime. Try your hand at the different types of fishing. We will be at different locations each week learning about native fish, techniques, bait and equipment. Experienced anglers will be onhand helping the girls with demonstrations. GSWPA is partnering with Warren County Council on Tourism’s ICOT fish program. Specially tagged fish will be worth prizes if caught. Each girl will receive a fun patch and recipes to try at home. Girls Grades: K-12 (Girls grades K-2 must be accompanied by an adult. Girls aged 16 and older must have a valid fishing license.) Session 1: Sunday, April 15 • 1-3 p.m. Session 2: Sunday, April 22 • 1-3 p.m. Session 3: Sunday, April 29 • 1-3 p.m. Session 4: Sunday, May 6 • 1-3 p.m. Location: Various locations within Warren County.
