ServSafe® Manager Refresher

Tulsa Tech and Blue Label Bartending School have partnered to train aspiring bartenders how to freepour over one hundred drinks. You will learn the history, brands and distilling process for liquors and cordials and proper etiquette for handling beer, wine and champagne. You will cover liquor laws and liability, customer service, servicing private parties and more. Those who wish to bartend in Oklahoma will need to apply with the ABLE Commission to obtain an Oklahoma Liquor License. You schedule your class with Blue Label Bartending School; you schedule 1 week Monday thru Thursday 8A-5P or 2 week time is 8A-12P. Tuition: $700 Hours: 32

Nutrition Fundamentals

Registration must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the class start date to allow required time to study your book. Enroll in-person and purchase your book/ test answer sheet at the Career Services Center, 3420 S. Memorial Drive. Classes are taught in English; however, the ServSafe® test is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French Canadian, and large print. You must indicate your test language preference at time of enrollment so the appropriate test can be ordered for you.

Comprehensive coursework covers basic nutrition, body systems, disease, special diets and CMS regulations. This knowledge is used to learn nutrition screening and assessment, calculating and interpreting nutrition data, developing and documenting care plans, and evaluating effectiveness. As part of the program requirements, field experience in the workplace must be supervised by a Registered Dietitian (RD) and documented by the student to demonstrate competencies. Book is required and must be purchased online from the Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP) before the start of class. Tuition: $525 Hours: 90

Private Security: Phase IV (Firearms)

Required skills/experience: Prior to enrollment, successfully completed Phase I/II or Phase I/III prior to enrollment, minimum age 21 years, and pass the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) test. Prior to class start date, obtain from the Sheriff’s Dept. within your county of residence; a copy of fingerprints and background check specific to Private Security (not included in the cost of the program).

Training is specifically identified for the Oklahoma Bail Enforcement and Licensing Act. You will learn about interpreting the Act, legal powers and limitations, responsibilities to clients, and bail enforcement duties. Book cost: $25 Tuition: $259 Hours: 40

Required training criteria for Armed Security and/ or Armed Private Investigator Licensing. Instruction includes: weapon nomenclature and inspection, shooting fundamentals, and safety per CLEET standards. Training will include 12 hours of classroom learning and 20 hours of on-range instruction and qualifying exercises. Successful completers will have 100% attendance, score 85% or better on written tests and pass all CLEET qualifications on-range, and pass the CLEET Phase IV testing to be eligible for making application for licensing. You will be required to supply all personal protective equipment, weapon, belt, holster, 3 magazines, and 400-450 rounds of NEW ammunition. No weapons are allowed on campus. Classroom and on-cycle instruction under controlled range conditions using Motorcycle Training Safety Center motorcycles. MSF (Motorcycle Safety Foundation) accredited course.
