Who are we? Adeona Travel is a retail based travel agency that is focussed on delivering fantastic levels of customer service and operating at the higher value end of the travel market. Our travel agents build a strong base of loyal customers and use their excellent customer service skills to build and grow their business through personal recommendation and awareness in their local community. While Adeona travel franchisees have an on-line presence, this brand is all about customer service and face-to-face contact. Your Adeona Travel team will deliver personal service, dedicating time in getting to know their customers, understanding their needs and then using their knowledge and skill to find their customers’ dream holiday. The teams’ experience and awareness of the end-to-end travel process takes away all the stress and hassle for their customers - Adeona Travel takes care of its customers every step of the way.

Adeona Travel is part of The Travel Network Group, which means it benefits from being part of a large nationwide consortium that negotiates, on its behalf, the very best commercial deals with many of the UK’s largest and well-known tour operators and holiday companies; and the ability to offer its customers 100% financial protection. The Travel Network Group is the largest consortium of independent travel agents in Europe, with over 800 members who range from large on-line operators to individual home-workers.

Why choose a Travel Franchise? The travel industry has been through a period of unprecedented change over the last 10 years. With the advent of low-cost flight providers and intense competition on-line, the number of traditional high street retail agents has halved over the past few years. Many are now owned by product suppliers and are therefore unable to offer their customers the breadth and range of product and a truly independent choice for their travel arrangements.

Who are we looking for? Our franchisees will be dynamic, ambitious and entrepreneurial, with a real understanding of the value of customer service. Getting into business

with Adeona Travel

The Adeona Travel franchise offers a complete turn-key solution and we provide support throughout the process from helping you find premises to supporting your staff with sales and product training.

Location To get you started we will help you find a store, ensuring the location matches the profile of a typical Adeona Travel customer, and negotiate the lease. The store will be fitted and designed in accordance with our corporate image and will include everything you need from desking and brochure racking, to stationery and PDQ machines.

Funding We can help with business planning and getting funding for your new franchise, having built strong relationships with the high street banks.

Launch We will develop an appropriate launch programme to get you firmly established in your local community as a new destination for travel.

Marketing The Adeona Travel brand is key to building and growing your business and we provide a range of high quality materials to enable you to market your business in your local environment, including window banners, offer cards, email templates, press adverts and PR, both local and national.

09 Training You will receive both ‘on the job’ and more specific management training to ensure you understand everything from the products you will be selling through to processing a payment.

On-going Support You will receive regular contact and visits from our Head Office support team to help you keep on track and help with any issues or additional marketing/events you are looking to undertake. In addition, we will have regular Adeona Travel meetings, and the opportunity to join The Travel Network Group’s events, that include UK and overseas conferences.

Financial information 10

Our franchise system provides a complete turnkey operation, and allowance has been made in the start-up costs for all franchise fees, training, assistance in site selection, shop fitting expenses, legal fees, equipment and supplies. How much money will you need to put in? The franchise fee is £20,000 and the retail set-up will vary between £50,000-£60,000, depending on the location, size and condition of the property. A percentage of the total franchise cost can be taken as a loan with one of the high street banks with whom we are developing excellent relationships, and who are more willing to lend to franchised businesses where the concept is proven. We will be happy to provide detailed examples of start-up costs once we have received your completed application form.

How much money will you make? Adeona Travel franchisees will be getting some of the best commission rates in the business, and based on our experience so far, projected store sales will be

around £1.5m per annum, so profits will be high. As with any business, the success will depend to a great extent on how much work you are prepared to put in. You will also have the support of an experienced franchisor with a professional brand and an established business model.

How we will help you succeed? We work closely with our franchisees to help them maximise the income from their store, providing advice and guidance on marketing approaches and focussing sales on products where more margin can be made. Adeona Travel is in the process of applying to join the British Franchise Association.


What next? We are looking for pilot development franchisees to join us at the start of our journey.
