Areas of use The Avance system is designed to be used for a wide range of wounds which are suitable for NPWT treatment, such as:

traumatic wounds, dehisced, chronic wounds including pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers.


With Avance you can select dressing kits with foam or gauze, depending on the wound and the clinical outcome you want to achieve.

Canister Full Replace canister. Leak in System A whistling sound may indicate that air is entering the film. Repair it with a new piece of film on top. Battery Low/Empty Plug the pump into a wall socket to recharge battery or place the pump into the docking station. Standby Mode

How to use with gauze filler

1. Measure the length of the wound, cut the drain approx. 1–2 cm shorter than the measured distance.

2. Saturate a single layer of gauze with saline or sterile water. Wrap the moistened gauze around the drain.

3. Gently place the wrapped drain in the wound cavity. If needed, fluff additional saturated gauze into the wound.

How to use with foam filler – application A

1. Cut the foam into an appropriate size.

2. Remove any fragments from the foam edges.

3. Measure the length of the wound and cut the drain approx. 1–2 cm shorter than the measured distance.

4. Gently place the foam into wound cavity, place the drain on top of foam.


How to use with foam filler – application B

1. Cut the foam into an appropriate size.

2. Remove any fragments 3. Cut or use a scalpel from the foam edges. to create an incision in the foam.

4. Cut the drain to fit into the incision.

How to apply the film

5. Place the drain in the foam’s incision. Gently place the foam in the wound cavity.
