“THE HITCH-HIKER” Enter the Twilight Zone with Tryst! Originally written as a radio play to showcase the vocal talents of Orson Welles, this short piece is an excellent counterpoint to "Travels". It too takes us on a journey...but this time it's tense and scary. A young man named Ronald Adams makes a cross-country trip in his Buick, and is terrified by the repeated appearances of a shabby-looking hitch-hiker who shows up at every turn and who seems to be beckoning him to...what? The tension builds to a nerveshredding climax in this taut thriller.
