Mr Nolan said construction of the building is scheduled to begin in September 2011 and will offer racegoers and function guests a spectacular location for a great day out or special occasion. “The racecourse building will feature a welcoming grand entrance foyer and will incorporate public, members and committee dining facilities, all with a spectacular vista over the track through an east-facing floor-to-ceiling glass wall,” Mr Nolan said. “Racegoers and patrons will be able to enjoy panoramic views over the track and it will be the perfect venue for events, conferences and weddings.”

Mr Nolan said the world-class project would be welcomed by visitors and racing enthusiasts from across Australia, while complementing the state’s existing racecourses.
“We are proud to be behind a project of such magnitude in Murray Bridge. This is going to be a premium racecourse community, built entirely from the ground up,” he said.
“This is an exciting time for all South Australians as this new racecourse community is an exceptional offering which will set new standards across the nation and become a drawcard for interstate and international visitors,” he said.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to work alongside the racing club to develop a magnificent facility that will have such a positive impact on the town and the local community. There’s no doubt Murray Bridge will become a prestigious venue for Australian thoroughbred racing in the near future.”
Burke Urban Managing Director Kym Burke said the project will result in one of the finest racecourses in Australia, surrounded by a sustainable and thriving community.
