The Kangaroo Island Racing Club welcomes all visitors and locals to celebrate the opening of the 2013 Cup Carnival over drinks and nibbles at the Aurora Ozone Hotel. Racebooks will be on sale to confirm times and fields for the races and racing experts will present their best picks for Friday’s racing. SeaLink operates two large vehicle and passenger ferries between Cape Jervis on the mainland and Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Coach connections are available between Adelaide and Cape Jervis and Penneshaw, American River and Kingscote. Four departures daily with additional services during peak times. Travelling time is a comfortable 45 minutes across the Backstair’s Passage. Coach connection travel time from Adelaide to Cape Jervis is approximately 1 ½ hours. Bookings are required for ferry and coach connections.
