I’m Angela.” ~ Liam acknowledged and dismissed the woman with a brief nod. To say he didn’t want to be here was the understatement of the millennium. He’d popped an anti-anxiety pill before they’d taken off and had downed another one when they landed. God, the second one had better kick in soon or he was going to lose his shit. He’d used every therapy technique he could recall to keep it together on the plane ride. The pills would get him through the crime scene. They had to. He turned to the interview room where he’d been briefed that the doctor had been murdered. The yellow tape sealed the room, leaving the crime scene still intact. A wave of unadulterated terror splashed across his exposed, brutalized nerve endings. Chills contracted his muscles, clenching viciously at his gut.
