THE PERFECT PLACE MEOPHAM was first recorded in 788, in the time of King Offa. Meopham Green is home to an old cricket pitch, where the sport has been played every summer since at least 1776 and is one of Kent’s most idyllic settings for the game; Meopham Windmill and Windmill Close are nearby. Fortunately, overlooking the green is one of Kent’s best pubs; the Cricketers Inn (a Hammond & Whiting pub), ensuring great food, beer and service, combined with a lively atmosphere. IMPORTANTLY, Meopham is sufficiently large to have a reasonable selection of local shops for everyday essentials (including a Tesco Express), linked by footpaths which means leaving the car behind is an option! Meopham also has a public library in Meopham School.

NEARBY Gravesend, Maidstone and Sevenoaks are all regional centres for shopping, offering all the big name stores together with coffee shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs to suit all tastes and pockets. Furthermore, Bluewater is only 15 minutes away by car. For the more adventurous, other local attractions include Brands Hatch, Diggerland and Chatham Naval Dockyard. There is an excellent choice of state schools in the village, such as Meopham School (which has developed into a specialist sports college), Meopham Community Academy (formerly Meopham Community Primary School) and Culverstone Green Primary School. Gravesend Grammar School is also within the borough. There are also private schools, such as Cobham Hall and King’s School, Rochester.

WHILST LIVING IN HARMONY with nature is an ideal, these houses bring you closer than most to that ideal. Our aim is to build energy saving houses, requiring minimal maintenance that are a pleasure to live in, saving you money for years to come. Whilst building with slow grown Scandinavian timber ensures the embodied energy of the structure is minimised, high quality bespoke construction is achieved in a climate controlled factory environment where waste is minimal and nothing less than perfection is accepted. These houses are not only designed to achieve an Energy Performance Rating of category B, but have been verified by independent testing; Building Control (to ensure the houses conform to the Building Regulations), infrared thermal imaging (to ensure the houses are adequately insulated) and pressure testing (to ensure the houses are adequately air tight).

WE AIM TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE housing first and foremost by ensuring the fabric of the building is energy efficient, thereby reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Having insulated and sealed the building to a high standard it is important to maintain air quality without losing heat. We do this by installing mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, which delivers fresh air to all habitable rooms, warmed by heat recovered from moist stale air extracted from wet rooms (kitchens, bathrooms etc). The heating system is a tried and trusted, gas condensing boiler with radiators and hot water cylinder. We fit Vaillent boilers because in our opinion they are the best; they are economic and reliable.

EASY LINKS TO LONDON WINDMILL CLOSE is ideally situated to take full advantage of excellent transport links by road, rail and air.

London

MEOPHAM Railway Station offers direct trains to London Victoria within 45 minutes, making commuting fast and simple. Alternatively (at the time of writing) there are also commuter coaches that run from Meopham Green to Victoria coach station: intermediate stops include Canary Wharf, the City and many others beside. In the opposite direction, the trains run to Dover Priory (1 hour 30 minutes) and Ramsgate (30 minutes). Ebbsfleet International Station is approximately 15 minutes away by car, providing fast Eurostar services to continental Europe.
