Head Start Hosts Food & Nutrition Conference Tri-Valley Head Start, Child and Family Programs held their First Annual Food & Nutrition Conference. The conference was held at the Sprout Food Hub in Little Falls, MN on May 14 and 15. A chef was brought in to demonstrate how to utilize local foods in the menu and how to cook with herbs and spices. The center managers and food services sta that attended learned a lot and had a great time!

Senior Programs Attends Celebrate Aging Expo On May 15, Kristal Abrahamson (Foster Grandparent/Caring Companion Specialist) attended the 4th Annual Celebrate Aging Expo presented by Essentia Health St. Mary's-Detroit Lakes. Attendees were treated to vendors, resource booths, samples, door prizes, seminars, and entertainment provided by Lewy Ronken!

Head Start Hosts Training Session On May 21 and 22, Melody Hedden, Missy Janssen and Edna Tudon trained the Recruiters and Family Advocates in Family Services and the ChildPlus Software (Professional Head Start Management Software). Avril Kruchten also presented the PowerPoint she created for parents covering the information on the Tri-Valley Parent Handbook. The training was held in Monticello.
