Fear Not... Fear knocked at the door. Faith answered, and no one was there. ~Author Unknown~ Until you learn to face your fears with the steadfast resolve that everything will work out for good, you will never realize your full potential. When fear and doubt are replaced with faith and trust, amazing things begin to happen...doors begin to open, opportunities begin to materialize, and a whole new world of possibilities will unfold before you. Isn’t it time to put those fears to rest once and for all... TODAY? In my anguish I cried to the LORD, and he answered by setting me free. The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? ~Psalms 118:5,6 (NIV)~ Do not be seized with alarm and struck with fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom! ~Jesus / Luke 12:32 (Amp)~ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ...And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us. ~Romans 8:14-17,28,31~ Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. ~1 John 4:18 (NLT)~

Happy Birthday Believers In Faith August, 2011 28th - Janet Potts 29th - Rose Ann Marshall
Live Long & Prosper One day I had lunch with some friends. John, a short, balding golfer type about 80 years old, came along with them all in all, a pleasant bunch. When the menus were presented, we ordered salads, sandwiches and soups, except for John who said, “Ice Cream, please, two scoops, chocolate! I wasn’t sure my ears heard right and the others were aghast. “Along with heated apple pie” John added, completely unabashed. We tried to act quite nonchalant as if people did this all the time, but when our orders were brought out, I didn’t enjoy mine. I couldn’t take my eyes off John as his pie a-la-mode went down. The other guys couldn’t believe it. They ate their lunches silently and grinned. The next time I went out to eat. I called and invited John. I lunched on white meat tuna. He ordered a parfait. I smiled. He asked if he amused me. I answered, “Yes you do, but also you confuse me. How come you order rich desserts, while I feel I must be sensible? He laughed and said “I’m tasting all that is Possible. I try to eat the food I need and do the things I should, but life’s so short my friend, I hate missing out on something good. This year I realized how old I was. (He grinned) I haven’t been this old before, so, before I die, I’ve got to try those things that for years I had ignored. I haven’t smelled all the flowers yet. There are too many trout streams I haven’t fished. There’s more fudge sundaes to wolf down and kites to be flown overhead. There are too many golf courses I haven’t played. I’ve not laughed at all the jokes. I’ve missed a lot of sporting events and potato chips and cokes.
I want to wade again in water and feel ocean spray on my face. I want to sit in a country church once more and thank God for His grace. I want peanut butter every day spread on my morning toast. I want un-timed long distance calls to the folks I love the most. I haven’t cried at all the movies yet or walked in the morning rain. I need to feel wind on my face. I want to be in love again. So, if I choose to have dessert, instead of having dinner, then should I die before night fall, I’d say I died a winner, because I missed out on nothing. I filled my heart’s desire. I had that final chocolate mousse before my life expired. With that, I called the waitress over. “I’ve changed my mind,” I said. “I want what he is having, only add some more whipped cream!”

The brand new pastor and his wife, newly assigned to their first ministry, to reopen a church in suburban Brooklyn , arrived in early October excited about their opportunities. When they saw their church, it was very run down and needed much work. They set a goal to have everything done in time to have their first service on Christmas Eve. They worked hard, repairing pews, plastering walls, painting, etc, and on December 18 were ahead of schedule and just about finished.

WARNING FROM POLICE ***NOT A JOKE*** THIS PERTAINS TO EVERYONE, MEN INCLUDED. ‘WARNING FROM POLICE? BEWARE OF PAPER ON THE BACK WINDOW OF YOUR VEHICLE NEW WAY TO DO CAR-JACKINGS (NOT A JOKE) You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside. You start the engine and shift into Reverse. When you look into the rearview mirror to back out of your parking space, you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window. So, you shift into Park, unlock your doors, and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view. When you reach the back of your car, that is when the carjackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off. They practically mow you down as they speed off in your car. And guess what, ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car. So now the carjacker has your car, your home address, your money, and your keys. Your home and your whole identity are now compromised! If you see a piece of paper stuck to your back window, just drive away. Remove the paper later. A purse contains all kinds of personal information and identification documents, and you certainly do NOT want this to fall into the wrong hands.
