By Chris Frost chris@tricountysentry.com Oxnard-- You know, sometimes I feel sorry for the City of Oxnard. They face tough budget times because of low revenue and past fiscal errors, its rainy-day fund is low, and services have been cut, and people have been laid off.

DD to that, Covid-19 and the insane small business lockdowns, even though traveling down the aisles in Walmart is like a cattle call.

The city passed Measure E to fix its revenue problem, and the thought was just in time. Thank the good Lord. Well, the Lord got involved today and sent a n Spend money, see page 5

City discusses the encampment response project plan By Chris Frost chris@tricountysentry.com Oxnard-- The city council, Jan. 19, received an update via YouTube video about a homeless encampment at Ormond Beach, at a location commonly known as The Slagpile. The encampment response is a citywide need and continuing effort. Various city departments

continually respond to encampments. The Ormond Beach encampment gets singled out because of its size and occupancy.
