Dear Friends of Equestrian Sports As the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the 68th edition of the CHIO
Rotterdam, we are looking forward to this high level competition. During these four day competition, we are associated with two highlights: The Furusiyya FEI
Nations Cup™ Jumping presented by Longines on Friday 24 June and the Longines Grand Prix Port of Rotterdam on Sunday 26.
On the occasion of this international sport event, we invite the spectators to discover the Official Watch, which belongs to DolceVita collection
illustrating contemporary elegance of the Longines watchmaking brand worldwide. The watch
is a lady model of this collection, cased in steel,
decorated with diamonds and featuring a silvercoloured “flinqué” dial adorned with painted Roman numerals.
Longines’ commitment to equestrian sports dates back to 1878, when our brand produced a chronograph engraved with a jockey and his mount.
Seen on the racetracks as early as 1881 and extremely popular among jockeys and horse-lovers, this model enabled its user to time performances to the
seconds. In addition, our company had partnered for the first time with an international show jumping competition by 1912. Today, along with show
jumping, our brand is an active partner in flat racing, eventing, endurance,
driving and dressage. Ladies and Gentlemen, dear friends, we wish you exciting sport moments marked with outstanding performances and great emotions. Walter von Känel, President of Longines
