Married Women’s Property Acts, in U.S. law, is a series of statutes hat gradually, beginning in 839, expanded the rights of married women to act as independent agents in legal contexts.

The Seneca Falls Convention was the first women's rights convention in the United States. Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott, among others, led the meeting. The Declaration of Sentiments, a demand for equal rights for women, was signed by 68 women and 32 men.

The Indian government passed the Hindu Succession Act, granting women equal inheritance rights with men. Hansa Mehta, an Indian reformist and women's rights activist, played a significant role in advocating for this and other women's rights in India.

In cooperation with Emily Davies, Barbara Smith proposed a plan for the extension of university education to women in the UK.

1893

1893 New Zealand became the first self-governing country to grant all women the right to vote. Kate Sheppard was a prominent leader in this movement.

Colorado became the first U.S. state to adopt an amendment granting women the right to vote.

Married Women's Property Act 1882 also started to allow married women to be the legal owners of the money they earned and to inherit property.

Rachel Carson, a marine biologist, authored "Silent Spring," raising public awareness about the environment and inspiring the modern environmental movement. Her work represents the crucial role women have played in environmental activism.

The Food and Drug Administration approved birth control pills in the United States after it was first developed in 1952, marking a major milestone in reproductive rights for women.

Sirimavo Bandaranaike of Sri Lanka became the world's first female Prime Minister.

1972 The Equal Employment Opportunity Act was passed in the United States, prohibiting employment discrimination on the basis of sex, race, religion, color, or national origin.

Malala Yousafzai, an education advocate, survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban in Pakistan. She eventually became the youngest recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, and continues to fight for girls' education worldwide.

Wyoming Territory was the first to grant women the right to vote in the United States. This marked the beginning of progress toward suffrage in the U.S.

In England, Barbara Leigh Smith Bodichon had published her Brief Summary in Plain Language of the Most Important Laws Concerning Women, which had a useful effect in helping forward the passage of the Married Women’s Property Act.

National Woman Suffrage Association (NWSA), American organization based in New York City was founded in 1869 by Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton during the time when the women's rights movement split into two groups.

The first National Woman's Day was observed in the United States on 28 February. The Socialist Party of America designated this day in honour of the 1908 garment workers' strike in New York, led by Theresa Malkiel

Saudi Arabia passed a royal decree allowing women to drive, lifting the world's only ban on women drivers.
