JEN BERBAS
JULIO’S
HYDE PARK
Julio’s is my favorite spot to walk to for Mexican food. The low-key vibe, outdoor seating and delicious margaritas and roast chicken are what make Julio’s a neighborhood institution.
Jen Berbas has been a proud Austinite since she came to Austin to attend UT, and after a few brief stints in Chicago and Minneapolis, she came back as soon as she could. Her background in finance, first as an options trader and then working in the credit markets, laid the groundwork for a career in real estate and informed much of her work. She has an affinity for spreadsheets and an excellent grasp of the real estate market and investments. Jen has been named a Platinum Top 50 Realtor for three years running and led the #2 team at Realty Austin in 2020.
UNCLE NICKY’S
Uncle Nicky’s is our neighborhood go-to for morning coffee and happy hour snacks. Walking over and seeing my favorite barista is a great way to start the day! QUACK’S 43RD STREET BAKERY
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT HYDE PARK
Hyde Park is a tight-knit community where you can expect welcoming neighbors and amazing quality of life. Historic Victorian beauties and charming bungalows define the well-preserved architecture here. Wide, tree-lined streets and shaded sidewalks keep things cooler on scenic summer walks, where you’re sure to catch a wave from neighbors out on their front porches. Or visit with the community at one of the annual neighborhood events like the Fire Station Festival or Halloween street fest. Shipe Park’s tennis courts and brand-new pool, as well as dining and grocery options at 43rd Street, round out everything you could possibly want just blocks from home!
JEN AND JACKS PHOTOGRAPHED AT HER HOME
Quack’s is a Hyde Park gem. Go for the chocolate cupcake and Key lime pie; stay for the casual atmosphere and great people-watching.
