ABOUT

s the premier Wyoming dude ranch inside Grand Teton National Park, the Triangle X Ranch provides visitors with fulfilling experiences within unsurpassed natural beauty through an authentic and iconic Western legacy. As a five-generation family business, we are passionate about hosting visitors with warm and relaxing hospitality and connecting them with the outdoors through sustainable, service-oriented, familyfriendly activities.

RIDING RANCH

C

ompletely surrounded by vast expanses of Grand Teton National Park and national forest lands, Triangle X Ranch offers superb horseback riding. Riders enjoy changing vistas of the Teton Range and Snake River Valley over a great variety of trails. Our rides are led by our friendly and knowledgeable wranglers, ranging from scenic, “slow” rides to faster, more advanced rides. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, you’ll be given a personal mount from our string of well-trained saddle horses. Beginners are given special attention and soon come to feel like “old hands” on the trail. We have a riding weight limit of 250 pounds.

Little Wranglers Riding Program One unique feature of the ranch is the fun it offers young guests through the wellsupervised Children’s Program for “little wranglers” ages five through twelve. Children enjoy their own horseback rides led by a group of highly qualified kids’ wranglers. Little wranglers enjoy riding lessons, games on horseback, swimming trips, horse painting, wildlife spotting and several other fun destinations while out on their rides.

Teenager Riding Program Each week several teenagers join us at Triangle X and they find much enjoyment in the teen program. Young adults between the ages of thirteen and nineteen hit the trail on a ride designed just for them, giving them a little more independence under the watchful eye of our riding staff.

RANCH LIFE

T

he atmosphere around the ranch is relaxed and congenial. Our guests really enjoy the opportunity to get to know one another. Children spend hours playing outside, reveling in the freedom to roam.

RANCH LIFE

In addition to our rides through pristine countryside, join in ranch activities such as: cookouts, square dancing, evening presentations, world-class trout fishing and scenic float trips on the Snake River. The ranch is ideally located for varied hiking, ranging from the gentle terrain of the valley floor and surrounding foothills to the more challenging trails into the Teton and Gros Ventre mountain ranges. There are endless opportunities to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife and wildflower displays. Watching wranglers push in the horse herd at sunrise is also a ranch favorite. Grand Teton National Park offers many things to see and Yellowstone National Park, only 32 miles away, can easily be visited with a day trip from the ranch.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Cabins Each of our 20 distinct log cabins originated in Jackson Hole and has a story of its own. Whatever your cabin’s story, the accommodations are simple, comfortable and appropriately rustic. While preserving their historic character and Old West charm, all of our guest cabins have been well maintained. Our cozy cabins range from one to four bedrooms, are attractively furnished and provide all the needed modern amenities.

Main House The lodge, or as we call it at Triangle X, the “Main House,” was the first building constructed at the Triangle X. Serving as home to the first two generations of Turners, it was later transformed into the dining room, gathering area and heart of the ranch. A family room provides a comfortable place to retreat. On those cool mountain days enjoy the ambiance of a large, wood-burning fireplace.

Wildlife Located in Grand Teton National Park, Triangle X Ranch gives guests the unique opportunity to view and photograph a wide variety of wildlife. Grand Teton National Park is home to approximately 400 different types of wildlife.

While the animals inside Grand Teton National Park are protected and are generally more comfortable around people on horseback, we must still treat them as wild animals to ensure your safety and provide adequate distance so they are not disturbed.

WILDLIFE

During your stay at Triangle X you can plan to see elk, pronghorn, bison, mule deer and coyotes – almost on a daily basis. Shiras moose, wolves, grizzly bears, black bears and beaver are not seen as frequently, but it is not uncommon to spot one of these exciting animals. There are also over 300 species of birds that spend their summers in Grand Teton National Park.

FISHING

Fishing At Triangle X Ranch, anglers of all abilities can take guided fishing trips in the Grand Teton and Yellowstone national park region. Fly fishing in Jackson Hole provides anglers with some of the finest trout fishing in the West. Back this with professional fishing guides who make you feel like family and share their passion for fishing, and you are sure to have a most memorable fishing experience. For ranch guests who are planning on doing it themselves, Triangle X offers great fishing opportunities out its front door. We have private access to the Snake River.
